I had someone reach out to me on another platform and say she could not find my shop when she searched for it on the Etsy App. The same thing happened to my aunt when she searched on the Etsy website. My dad found it just fine on the app and on the website, and I also have no problem.
For both the person who reached out to me and my aunt, they said the little "find shop names containing..." search option didn't come up. The person who reached out could never find my shop at all, and my aunt had to go through three screens of "did you mean this?" and "are you looking for the shop named this?" before she found my shop.
What is going on? Is it some technical issue? I tried to get help figuring it out from Etsy Support but they're kind of useless and just send me an automated blurb unrelated to the issue and when I tried again, they said they needed the other people to reach out to them and then closed my case. Did Etsy update or something? Did their search system get screwed up?
Put your shop name as one of your tags in each listing. I've been doing forever.

Perhaps remind them, when searching for a shop by name, they must search for "artwormproducts", without any spaces.
When you do a search on the buyer app, as soon as you tap into the search box there’s a drop down arrow on the left side of it. It has a square, circular and triangle shape next to the arrow. If you tap the arrow it opens up to 3 different search options; one is “search by shop.”
@artwormproducts: "Did their search system get screwed up?" Many of your fellow sellers would say yes, Etsy will say no - working as designed.
You need to give up on the concept of Etsy search providing the results that you expect. Keep in mind that if everyone on this forum searched for the exact same phrase they would all get different results. Because of "personalized searches" you can NOT rely on anyone's search results to define how your listing is ranked. There are many many factors that affect listing placement and the relative weight of each factor probably changes constantly. Even exact word matches to your title no longer ensure that you will appear on page 1. Your listing may be appearing on page 251 and Etsy is only showing the first 250 pages to the world.
Etsy is proud of the fact that they provide search results which they think you will actually purchase regardless of what you actually searched for.
Your shop came up right away when i searched
