Had no idea where to put this. When looking at an item (before checkout), I discovered there is no shipping cost, nor where it ships from. Has anyone else noticed it?
When I looked at this Listing https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/989710602/velvet-ornament-red-christmas-decor I saw no Shipping costs or delivery timeframe. I put the item in my cart and saw AUD $ 5.83 Shipping, so I went back to the Listing and noticed a small "arrow" beside "Shipping and return policies" and, when I expanded this section, your Shipping cost and Delivery Estimated became visible.
I see the same as @CarpetCollectionAU . It looks like Etsy is testing a new listing layout. Description is completely hidden too (not even the first few lines showing), you have to click to see it. I'm using a laptop; now it looks more like what I see in the mobile browser version, where you have to tap to expand everything.
Great. Just what we need. Stuff being hidden!! Will it ever end
@UniqueGiftOrnaments This does, as @BlackSheepDyeworks suggests, look more like a Mobile App / Browser view than a PC view.
Personally, I dislike having to expand every section to actually see if there is any relevant information which I need / want to know.
How many people will, just as I did, miss the Shipping Cost and Delivery Timeframe (and I was actually looking for it) and then have the "unpleasant surprise" of seeing a Shipping Cost at Checkout.
Its probably another test - if it stays or goes will probably depend on if Etsy thinks that it increased sales or reduced sales.
I'm on my desktop, had to fuss around a bit but did find it. I can't imagine why Etsy feels the need to mess with what is familiar to people. It's irritating and I see no advantage
