At my customer service stats, On-time shipping & tracking is 98%.
When I check it, it shows one order missing tracking info. After I download the order history, I saw there is a 'no' written for order no. 3682231756. When I check the panel, its tracking number is written. So can you please check this issue.
I added the tracking when I marked the order complete.
You can't make Etsy fix the error, they won't make manual adjustments. If you click the tracking number to see if it shows in transit, out for delivery or delivered on the carrier's delivery status page, then the stats should update in a day or so and hopefully in time for Star Seller on June 1. You can point out the incorrect status of the order, but don't phrase it as a Star Seller issue, just ask them to check that the shipping is showing correctly, that way you might get a positive outcome. Just to put your mind at rest, this single error on its own will not affect your badge if your score is 98%, as this is still within the requirements for the shipping badge.
@CityofWood: Etsy will not go by external links, only what was entered on the order itself. Does the actual order show 'pre-transit' as the status? If so, that usually means that the tracking information AS ENTERED cannot be validated.
"So can you please check this issue." Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy moderators do sometimes read and reply to posts).
Yes, it says 'pre-transit' but it is delivered.
Yes, from help, contact us and messaging, support member message:
@CityofWood Pre-transit for Etsy in the US says to them the item was not shipped. That first scan is the most important. Have your PO scan the item and get the receipt. If you use home pick up, ask if they will scan the scan sheet for a single item. I do pick up and I have it arranged with my carrier to use the scan sheet even for a single package. It works great for me.
But back to the other, that scan is just what Etsy looks for and it has to say accepted by USPS.
Etsy may change as they have done so but actually they should not since they are not consistent in application. Other sellers have not been fortunate to have it changed.
@CityofWood: Unfortunately it sounds like you received an Artificial Intelligence generated hallucination (aka incorrect answer).
Etsy has made it clear that they will not manually adjust Star Seller stats. However they have sometimes been able to correct errors in the underlying data and then the Star Seller stats will auto update (but not retroactively).
What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly. In that case you should pursue it but avoid mentioning Star Seller so that the focus remains on the faulty data.
If the link on the order page does not work properly, then it is often a matter of it defaulting to the wrong courier or an error in the tracking number (perhaps a leading or trailing space). In some countries some couriers are not recognized.
Long before Star Seller was even a twinkle in someone's eye, we got into the habit of always checking the previous day's shipments to make sure that they show at least 'in transit' so that we could fix any orders with an issue within the 72 hours we are allocated.
@ArtDollsbyJD I am in Europe.
@BagmakerSupply
Thanks for your detailed answer.
My case is the first one, 'What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly. In that case you should pursue it but avoid mentioning Star Seller so that the focus remains on the faulty data.'
How do I pursue, move on, make Etsy fix this faulty data?
