I hope it isn't about any of the Astros or Dallas Cowboys or KC Chiefs items you have in your shop where you have no licensing in place.
If it is, you should just refund and be done with them & remove all of it and any other unlicensed brand name items from your shop before they are all deactivated for you.
@QuirkyGypsyDesigns: Whatever the reason, buyers should not be using offensive or threatening language. However, if the refund request is for something that uses someone else's intellectual property and you do not have proper licensing the buyer can demand and win a 'not as described' case because in the eyes or Etsy and most jurisdictions they are counterfeits.
You need to include YOUR licensing information for all of the trademarked and copyrighted names and images in your shop in the listing itself, this will show that you are not selling those items illegally.
If you do not have licensing you may want to consider having a conversation with a qualified intellectual property attorney. Sports teams and many celebrities are very protective of their names and images.
Be sure to check the links above on reporting harassment.
A shop can stick to its policies. If a case is opened, Etsy will determine how the refund will be paid. Normally, a downloadable listing won't be refunded once its been used. A shop owner never has to tolerate written abuse. These messages can be sent to spam. However, if the listing is breaking Etsy's policies or laws the shops policies will be irrelevant. A refund can be automatically rewarded from the sellers account. A case can also bring attention to a shop.
