Messages sent to spam folder

I decided to check my spam folder. There I found a bunch messages from a week ago that I did not put in there! Most of them had my "auto-reply" message from over the weekend.  So that's just great.  When I click on my "unread" messages they don't show up - I have to go into the spam folder.  I checked my other Etsy shop - same thing.  Etsy is "escalating" the issue.

Re: Messages sent to spam folder

The messages may have been spam messages if Etsy removed the account.

There has been some discussion about this by various sellers.  I checked and my messags seem to be working fine.

Since you contacted Etsy, hope they find the reason for it.  Needle in a haystack time.

Re: Messages sent to spam folder

@GirlFridayHome  - There are numerous threads on this issue. While this is not happening to all shops, there are enough reports of actual messages from buyers &/or potential buyers being immediately sent to spam that hopefully Etsy is taking this seriously.

Yes, Etsy is trying to protect shop owners from the scammers out there. However, I believe their fix needs to be fine-tuned. In the meantime, keep checking your spam box.

Yes, unfortunately, today I noticed that 2 of my customers' messages were sent to your spam box and I could not receive the order because I responded late.🥹
