Messages from other than ETSY?

I received 3 different messages and this banner popped up. It says the message is from another user not ETSY. Funny thing is I emailed all 3 people back with no responses. Is there a glitch in the system? All three are potential orders yet it does not seem like they are getting my messages.

Just because they have not responded doesn’t mean they didn’t get your response

Without knowing what the messages said....  

Etsy is trying hard to block scammers who say things like "I'm interested in buying X but your checkout isn't working..." or "This is Etsy, your account has been put on hold until you verify X".   Some scam messages don't say anything other than "Hi" or link to an item saying "Is this still available?"  

So, maybe Etsy detects something that it making them warn you, or Etsy is testing a new message to sellers, or maybe those are shoppers who simply asked a question and aren't going to come back.

After my response to an inquiry concerning one of my listings or smeone asking about a custom order, sometimes it takes days and days and sometimes weeks to get a reply.

I don't know what your seeing with that banner but I just learned tonight that some messages from buyers are going into sellers spam folders, so who knows what's going on with the messaging system as a whole.  After hearing about this spam folder situation I checked my spam folder and found a message from a potential buyer dated 3/24, she was inquiring about faster shipping, they needed the item by April 4th. There was nothing spammy about the message that should have caused Etsy to flag it.
