Messages disappeared

Messages with a potential customer for a custom order from yesterday have disappeared.

Etsy may have removed it as potential spam.

We were discussing details back and forth for a potential custom order. The customer messaged me this morning because it disappeared on their end as well.

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.

@ShaShaLaRue: Based on the variety of Messaging issues being reported recently, it would be a safe guess that Etsy is in the process of making "adjustments" to the Messaging system and your particular thread may have been a casualty.

Did you check your spam folder? I have had a message that ended up there in the middle of a conversation with a customer.

I check mine every day now although it has not happened since. After it happened I contacted Etsy via email to report what happened with a link to the message thread affected. They thanked me for the details. An admin had said that they want to know about these occurrences so they can try to fix it, but it appears the problem is still ongoing.

I had one go missing yesterday- got the email for the convo, but the actual message isn't on Etsy. 

I thought maybe a delay? but it's still not there.

and not in spam or trash. 

it's lucky I saw the email - usually you can't see what the entire message is on the email, but this one I could.

@2TrickPony That is strange that you could see the message in email. Unless Etsy has changed things again, the messages have not been appearing in the email at all - I've had to click through to Etsy Messages see any of it. Make sure it is not a scam email if it purports to come from Etsy.
