Messages are screwed up. How can I get them back to normal??

I have been having a conversation with a customer who wants a custom piece made.  When I checked just now none of the conversation shows - it is GONE!!  Luckily I remembered his name and searched for it.  The conversation showed with the customer's reply - but there is no ability to answer his last message!!

What gives?  What can I do?

I could also mention that I have another customer using the same name (a single initial).  Does this have anything to do with this strange event?

No, Etsy is messing with the entire messaging system and not in a good way. Many people have posted in the forums but Etsy has yet to respond.

Well I just found out that "somehow" the whole conversation ended up in my spam folder and I was able to retrieve it by clicking "not spam".  Obviously I did not send this to spam and am somewhat relieved that I found it.

Re: Messages are screwed up. How can I get them back to normal??

That happened to me mid conversation. The conversation was about a custom order. I had responded with information and then nothing. Days later I checked spam and message thread was there. I was rather embarrassed to respond days later to the buyer's last message but did and the conversation resumed.

Now I try to remember to check my spam folder for messages, but it really annoys me because it is no longer a spam folder. Now, it's an Etsy alternative place for actual messages folder.

Thank you for your message.  It was quite comforting to know that it happened to someone else also.  It was so odd.... you do start to question yourself.
