Messages Not Attaching to Current Order

When you send a message it is not attached to the current order but it is attached to an older message thread that could be years old.  While I appreciate that ETSY has added a box that assures us that the message has been sent, it is very confusing when you go back to the current order and the message just sent is not there.  

I know that a team was working on updates to this experience, is there an estimate on when it will be fixed so that messages are attached to the current order.

I thought the combining of messages was a "fix" Etsy was making due to all of the complaints from sellers in regards to the SSP (customers opening multiple threads and sellers thinking they only had to respond to one of them). 

There have been different messaging glitches, but I think the combining messages aspect of it all is here to stay.

The above is from a thread posted awhile ago by Etsy...Updates to the Star Seller Program or something or another.

You're right; this is the new "bundling" of Messages.  It was supposed to make it easier for Sellers. I don't know if there are tweaks to me done or if it's finished.

I hope that it is not done because, in my opinion, they have not streamlined the process but it takes more clicks to get to what you are looking for in a current order.  Also, for new orders, the message attaches to the order like it always did, but the message doesn't appear under messages.  They are mixing and matching depending upon whether it is a new message or not.  As it stands now, I'm not a fan.

My Shop is on Vacation and I had a few Messages.  One is fr. another Seller (she asked me to send her a photo of something).  I did via Messages; it latched onto our conversation fr. January.
