Messages Disabled

Has anyone else had their messages disabled and is not getting any support? I put in a request over a week ago and have not received a reply. I'm not sure why my messages would be disabled. I had a back and forth with a customer who was having issues with an order. After that back and forth my messages were disabled. I'm now unable to reply to my customers and my message response rate is going down and affecting my star seller qualification. 

Has anyone had this issue and how were you able to resolve it? I'm not getting any replies to my inquiry through etsy support.

When you think about it, that Etsy gives browsers the ability to filter search results for "star sellers" you'd think fixing the messaging problem that some shops are having would be a priority.

I wish they had a better solution in place. The support section for this issue says they will reply within a few days. It's been weeks and my star seller eligibility takes a dig every day. And more importantly, I'm unable to help my customers with their orders

@ValleyLowPrints  - If the messages are from buyers who have made a purchase, their 'real' email address should be on the order page. You can send them an email & at least keep them updated on their purchase.

For potential buyers, not anything you can do until Etsy corrects the problem.

I don't know how you addressed the issue with Etsy. I've reached the point on some problems/glitches of advising the OP of a thread to contact Etsy about the problem but not to mention the star seller stats. So in your case just address that your messages have been disabled & that you have abided by the TOU's when it comes to using Etsy's messaging system. 

As for the help ticket you did open, you can go to it and send a "request for an update" on the issue. A nudge might help but then again.......

There are a number of other sellers having the same issue. Etsy seems to be trying to crack down on scam messages and whatever they are doing is causing some other issues, like yours, with the messaging system.

If you scan through the first 3 or 4 pages of threads here you can probably find threads about it and see what others are saying and doing about this problem.

Etsy is a hot mess these days, I hope they get these many bugs worked out asap.
