Hi,
I believe I was supposed to qualify as a “Star Seller” for the first time this month (May), but I think my messages were counted incorrectly. Support told me that during the review period, I received 16 messages and responded within 24 hours to 15, which is true. However, I received 3 more messages in the last few days of April & replied to all of them within an hour, but none seem to be counted? I responded to 18 out of 19 messages within 24 hours, meaning 94.7%, which I thought rounded up to 95%. I reached out to Etsy support and they told me to reach out here if I believe the messages were counted incorrectly. Can somebody please help?
Etsy very seldom rounds, especially up. Also messages on the last couple of days of the month don't count until the next month. They give the full 24 hours for you to respond and don't count them until then and then they don't update until the following day, so at least 2 days at the end of a month don't count in the star seller metrics.
It actually takes 19 correct ones to offset the 1 incorrect during the period covered. You had 18 to 1.
The last two days of any month to not count for the star seller for the next month. They will be part of the stats for the months following. Depending on how many messages you get, it may take a few or many to overcome missed messages.
Etsy does not round up btw.
@MinniesMoldavite: "However, I received 3 more messages in the last few days of April ..." New threads are not counted until after the 24 hour reply window has passed, regardless of when you actually replied. With UTC being used (rather than your time zone) some may not have counted until May 1st even if it was April 30 to you. And as mentioned, Etsy truncates the decimal part of percentages rather than rounding them.
