Re: Message

it took me a few minutes to try and understand that line.

and then i asked someone else what it meant.

that means the opposite of what the scammer thinks it means.

it means they actually do believe you are the real owner of your shop.

so yay!

and yes it is a big nasty scam.

Yes, double negative. Means the opposite of what is said.

I know you have said in the past that English is not your first language but you certainly KNOW English quite well.

You could tell by seeing if your store is actually suspended.

Re: Message

I see and understand that English is not your first language so perhaps you cannot tell that the English (ifit is written in English) is not used proprly or in the correct syntax at all. You are correct in that it is a SCAM

Re: Message

When in doubt...

Go to your shop manager

- Click "Help"

- Click "Contact us"

- Select the listed options that best fits your issue & continue doing so until you get the option to click "I still need help"

You will then have the option to contact a real Etsy rep either by chat, email, or at times by phone call request. This way the REAL Etsy will let you know if you have an issue with your shop.

Spam the scam!

Yes- this is a scam-- they are trying to panic you to giving up personal info so they can drain your bank account. If you responded with your email.. blocking them on your email- change your passwords there and here to be safe. You don't need them using your own email against yourself. Hit the SPAM button on Etsy.

If was was truly from etsy-- they would know your name and your email already- they don't need to ask for it. There is a folder on your message page here that is "from Etsy" alone and if it was really from them it would be there.
