My message response rate dropped to 94% last week, totally my fault, couple of customers sent two messages and I only responded to one. A bit of a silly quirk of the system but I knew about it so I accept that. However I’ve responded to several messages since then but the percentage and total number of messages has not changed, nor has the download file for messages. By my calculations I should be well over the 95% to maintain star seller, but it hasn’t updated for nearly a week. Am I missing something, as I though it would update every day with the previous days messages?
Only the brand new conversations count. Are the messages you've sent since ongoing conversations? They will not have any effect on your message rate if they're not the first message in a thread.
@NorthumbrianKnitting: Keep in mind that only the FIRST message of a NEW THREAD is used for Star Seller calculations.
Yes, I realise that. It is the first ones that aren’t being added.
@NorthumbrianKnitting: Have you checked the applicable CSV file? Message stats usually update a day or so after the 24 hour reply window has closed.
Just to be clear, all the current messages are about the length of time it takes atm for delivery. All are the first messages in a thread, normally a request for help. All are replied to within about an hour at most. The last one to be logged was 16/12. Anyone in the UK will know that Etsy shops are being inundated with help requests due to the postal strikes and the knock on effects.
@BagmakerSupply CSV hasn’t updated since 16th dec
It takes 19 answered messages to offset each one that is missed so if you missed 2, you have to have 38 answered to get to 95%. Do you have that many messages in total?
