Message as a buyer brought my Star Seller "message response rate" down.

I made a purchase unrelated to my shop. A message was sent about the product and because I didn't respond, my message response rate was affected. I'm sad that it went down so much and it feels like I will never achieve Star Seller status. Is there a chance of forgiveness because the bypassed message was done because I was the buyer?
