Message Seller says "Typically responds within a MONTH" for over a year, despite being Star Seller
THis is a bug that has been discussed in the past and now I see it it affecting ME as well....this has NOTHING to do with Star Seller (I have had the Star Seller badge since it's inception) and yet? Now my Contact The Seller screen says "Seller typically responds within a month" which is completely false. I respond within 24 hours and have for ever....I would not have star seller if that were not the case!!! Etsy, fix this glitch!

I've been seeing this for a long time on some shops and ALL have the star seller badge for speedy replies which would NOT happen if a seller took a month (or days/weeks to respond).
I see some shops that have they'll respond in a few hours, some in a few days or weeks and others like you within a month.
No rhyme or reason why some shops have the month to reply BS.
It guess this is not on Etsy's list to fix or it would have been fixed a LONG time ago.

This has been going on for 4 years.
If you open a ticket, you will be told it is calculated automatically and will update eventually. They will not listen to you when you say it never does.
(The truth is it is a remnant of a bug that didn't count messages marked spam correctly. When Etsy fixed the bug for Star Seller/Customer Service ratings, they never bothered to fix it here.)

This "Typically responds in XXXXX" message has been a problem for many years. There is an explanation about why this never changes from the rating given many years ago, but, ATM, I cannot remember what the explanation was? Perhaps @cindylouwho2 can respond, as I believe she was also one of the Sellers with the erroneous "one year" response time notification which she has been unable to have corrected?

I don't see that message at all anyplace on your shop. Is it possibly something only you see logged into your shop and not seen by buyers.
I see this above the message button "Star Seller. This seller consistently earned 5-star reviews, shipped on time, and replied quickly to any messages they received."

Try the 'contact' button on the seller's shop front and you'll see the blurbs about their response time when the message opens.
The same blurb can sometimes be found under the ''Meet your seller'' section of any listing. No idea why some sellers' listings show it there and others don't tho.

@ArtDollsbyJD and @SugarTaffySoap If you look at any individual Listing.and you scroll down to the bottom of all the information and click on the "Message Jan" link you will see "Jan XXXX from gallery28 Typically responds within a month"

@SugarTaffySoap If you read @cindylouwho2cindylouwho2 post above, you will see that this has been an issue for over 4 years. It is a "left-over" from a time when the coding of "spam" was incorrect and "spam" was not being removed from the Message Response data. It appears that Etsy has no interest in rectifying this problem
