Message Response Error

Hi,

I received duplicate messages from a buyer about a problem accessing her digital download. I responded to the first message immediately and deleted the second message. But now Etsy is counted this second deleted message as one I failed to respond to within 24 hours and it is negatively impacting my star seller rating. How can I fix this error? Thank you in advance!

@ArcadiaVintagePrints  Hi, I don't know if the second Message was a Help Request or not.  Even though you deleted the Message, any time a Message is Initiated  by someone other than you, it must be Responded to or Marked as Spam.

Even if it was a duplicate you need to either reply or mark it as spam as far as star seller goes. The whole thing is automated and just sees a message that didnt get a reply. It can't  determine if its a duplicate message or not. Etsy won't fix it but you could try locating it in your messages and marking as spam now if thats possible. 

Im on my phone right now and cant remember if desktop full site has a folder in messages with deleted messages or not but I'm thinking it does. Not sure if you can mark them as spam after or even restore them but worth a try at least. If so that may be where to start.

Thank you for the help! I was able to locate the deleted message from my desktop browser and marked it as spam. No effect on star seller rating yet, but I’m hoping in a couple days the Etsy will update this.

Pull it out of your trash and send to spam.
