Massive issue with re-verification after change of family name

Dear community and support team, 

I am really concerned about my Etsy shop. 

I had a change of my family name after marriage. Therefore I had to re-verify myself to get back access to my payments. 

In the meantime I have done the verification several times and have received a confirmation as well, but my payments are still blocked. 

Tried to reach support several times but without success. No response on my mails as well. 

Could please anybody get back to me and help?

was it important to change the name? I ask because I know several women who are married, but professionally do not use their husband's name. One due to having an advanced degree prior, and another because...she doesn't want too.

if it is important to you, I get that. I did it when I was married. But...if it is causing a lot of anxiety, maybe no? JMO. Good luck.

Did you change your name legally (by court decree)? If so, did you also change your legal name on all relevant financial accounts (including SSA)? These changes can take years to be finalized. You may be better off not changing your Etsy details at all. You can call yourself whatever you wish, but setting the change in stone is a real headache, and can cause all sorts of identification issues.

" Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).

I'm having a similar issue after changing my name, nobody else seems to get how aggravating it is. I need the pay from my etsy to live right now, yet they've been verifying my name change for a month now. (I had to request the name change multiple times and I have had no help in cancelling the change either, once you try to change it there is no info to back track)

The Op's shop is back up and running, so theirs worked.

For the name change, you need to make sure everything matches your new name

ID, Bank account, legal section, billing section for your card.

Not sure if Etsy is now checking for UTR, for changes, they will have to check for this soon, because of the new law changes, so make sure you have also updated everything with HMRC too.

I'm seconds away from moving my store to Amazon handmade, I've sent in my ID, marriage certificate and also my Naturalization Certificate, at this point - Etsy is holding my money hostage.
