When I now go to my stat page and look at my views and visits, the numbers are all messed up. For instance, one day it could say that I had a certain number of views and visits, and the next day those numbers are lower. Also, I have one listing that says I had 161 views since the beginning of the year, and I know that is wrong. It’s probably like 10 at the most! Something is messed up what can I do?
Just like the weather, just wait awhile and it will change . . .
First of all ... the data that shows on your dashboard or in your stats is NOT real-time.
Second, Etsy filters out bot activity ... I've had a giant spike in views/visits ... and a while later, they're all gone.
Although I confess I look at my dashboard often, it's only reliable when I look at historical data like yesterday (but even that changes depending on when they do the updates), last 7 days, this month (but only a couple days into the month), etc.
Regarding a listing with 161 views ... look at the graph. If recent, there might be bot activity. But how would you know that listing didn't have that many views?
