Seen multiple similar posts over last few months with a quick search but not any that seem to be consistent in the way etsy are handling them.
Got the same as a lot of people with confirmation of tax ID , government issued ID, etc. Not eligible for VAT so uploaded Tax number (UTR) and passport as requested. Rejected. Raised a case because shop payments are on hold. Due to be paid on Monday as usual every week and this is currently blocked which will cause major issues for paying bills etc. Very concerned.
Bot reply initially which i believe is normal. Replied that i still need help, another absolutely identical bot reply advising how to upload the correct ID documentation. Replied again - this time potentially a human though hard to tell. Said ID could not be read properly. I cannot tell you how perfect and clear the ID was. It could be that one of the 4 corners wasnt fully in the picture . And I mean a quarter of a millimetre. So re uploaded with all 4 corners visible. Nothing in terms of a reply in a long time now and now way of chasing it.
I absolutely love etsy, both buying and selling. We have given Etsy way over 10k in fees from sales and from purchases. Then god knows how many £££ in friends and family we have recommended Etsy to. And now , as a proud star seller and loving what I do - I have my payments froze and it seems nobody seems to care. How am I meant to progress when you cannot speak to anyone? It baffles me.

Same issue, do you have a LLC Company ? Seems to be the root of our problems, as Etsy wants the ID with our companies name.. it is annyoing. In the internet i found random posts of people where it worked after some time, others still stuck in a loop.
Nope, sole trader. Should be crazy easy! Seen others similar to you though and indeed seems like a lottery as to whether you get someone that can help or not. You can speak to Etsy via phone via a call back. But they cannot deal with issues like this. Only trust and safety team. It is a massive shame that the support is letting this place down
