Major delay in Etsy updating delivery status...more than their usual delay

We all know that Etsy usually takes 6 hours or more to update status of a delivered order, compared to when USPS shows it delivered when you click through to their website. But I have one now that showed delivered by USPS well over 24 hours ago, and Etsy still hasn't seen fit to update their end yet.  I think they need to fix this! (of course, they are too busy dreaming up new tests instead....)

Anyone else seeing the major lag, more than the usual lag, in time currently?

@timelapse: There may be an issue with AfterShip again - we have an order showing as "Pre Transit" even though clicking on the link within the actual order shows it is in transit and all of the other orders marked as complete and scanned at the exact same time have the correct transit status.

I currently have one shipped 8/14 and one shipped 8/16 that have stopped updating here on Etsy. One shows "out for delivery" and the other "in transit." When you click the tracking numbers to see the info on the USPS site it shows one was delivered on 8/15 and the other delivered 8/18. Haven't had the energy to use the chat feature to ask why they aren't updating.

@VintageRoadside - that's what is happening here also. I am going to wait another day and then start bugging them.

although when I just tried the new improved chat, it told me I wasn't signed into my account...even though that was the account I was contacting them from!

Just sick of so many screw ups...guess I am getting grumpy finally.

An order delivered on the 17th on USPS website shows in transit on Etsy.

I was thinking about this last night and it makes me wonder if Etsy is doing something on the back end to switch to a model like Poshmark has.    Basically, it's 3 days after delivery and if the buyer doesn't open a case (or accept the purchase early) then funds are automatically released.   

It just seems strange that it would start having an issue updating delivery information if they weren't tinkering with that code.

FYI UPDATED: I just requested and received a call back about this delay issue. Reported it as a possible bug/glitch, and informed them that there was a forum thread with multiple sellers having this issue. Supposedly they will forward the report to technical...wait and see what happens.

ANOTHER UPDATE: After my phone call, just a couple hours until it now shows Delivered on Etsy as well.(USPS said 2 days ago...)

Hope others with delayed updates are seeing results also.

Glad yours cleared up! No movement on mine. Still showing an "out for delivery" and an "in transit." Both delivered over a week ago now.

Someone must have given the Etsy - AfterShip integration a kick because all of our shipment status issues have suddenly resolved.

Update to my update: contacted help and they marked them delivered. Wonder what the glitch is. I dont use Etsy Labels.

Update - Mine still hadn't updated so had to use the chat feature. It took 2 or 3 times to get the agent to understand the issue and then they required what I felt was way too much business info to "verify" my account before they would fix it.

Both orders now showing "delivered" but next time I'll just let them go. As long as they show shipped by the proper date the rest is on Etsy.

Another update - after having the orders updated through chat yesterday I now have another group that isn't updating. More orders that show delivered on the USPS website but "out for delivery" and "in transit" still on Etsy. Frustrating.

@VintageRoadside: Exact same situation we are experiencing - we had a bunch suddenly update but now there are more that seem to have not been checked by AfterShip for quite some time.

The glitches are getting quite frustrating. Between the relisting issues and now this. It took 20 minutes with chat yesterday to correct the delivery status and now we'll have to do that again. It's clear there's an issue but our chat person claimed they were not aware of anyone else having a problem. This was after mentioning the thread on the forum.

This continues to be a problem for my shop. After going through 2 rounds of chat to get delivered orders marked as "delivered" I now have several others listed as "in transit" or "out for delivery" that delivered days ago. I shipped 2 orders today, entered tracking like always, and now those 2 are showing "pre-transit" and as being shipped with no tracking in my Star Seller stats. Of course this would happen on the last day of the month...

I have asked them several times to pass it on to tech that there is an issue with the tracking systems not being correct in the dashboard.

1. You enter the tracking number and carrier... then you have to check back several times over 24 hours because 9 out of 10 the carrier automatically changes to another hence leaving it in pre-transit even though the tracking updates in the dashboard clearly show that the parcel is in the hands of the courier. Once changed back it finally goes into transit (for those who do not know this is happening, they may receive late dispatch dings)

Then the parcel is delivered again this is shown clearly in the history but remains in transit.

You wait a week and nothing changes so again I have to contact Etsy for them to manually change it to delivered
