Hi! Like many others I've received notifications that the shipping info needs to be updated, and I read on other threads that it may be because it no longer accepts "Other" as an option in shipping settings. 

I'm selling Print On Demand with Printful who has several factories in different countries and continents, so obviously the carrier varies depending on the receiving end and the location of the supplier, and I have no say in that. They also use some smaller delivery companies that are not listed in Etsy's options. 

So what on Earth, am I supposed to change suppliers because of this? Does anyone have any more information about this? There are soooo many other POD sellers that I don't understand how Etsy did not take this into consideration before doing this.

Living Nightmare, is what it is, unfortunately. I'm presently not renewing expired nor listing new items, until I can work out the least risky "choice" for my listings' shipping profiles. Ugh. So far, my Sold and Renews are keeping the Other option and the warning but selling and renewing still.

It is definitely a nightmare. Seems surreal that they would actually do this. I shall have to stop selling to overseas countries so will definitely take a massive hit.

It's Been Corrected!!!!!!!!!! Yay! POD shops from the US and UK can use OTHER set with a delivery window selection!

Not fully gone. I can keep old profiles for items I have that ship from the USA, but cannot duplicate or create new ones, if I try, they won't publish unless I choose a carrier and class. I cannot renew expired without having to do the same, either.

Betreff: Listings requiring shipping updates – what about POD?

I have the same problem. In the moment 3 articles are arrived at the clients,  but in etsy dashboard con read " not delivered.

So nobody of the clients that had purchased can give a feed back of my delivery and article. Because of this problem I had lost my starseller stars... but etsy hotline don´t help me.

This is exactly what I am facing! I have no way to fix all of my "update REQUIRED"  Plus when you open it is not helpful at all. Will we get in trouble or something for not being able to update ?

K, so, I just read the official Etsy announcement and at the end, here are 2 quoted paragraphs: "For those who fulfill your orders via a third party API integration, you should be exempt from needing to update your shipping profile to remove "Other" and set a carrier.

If you're seeing an error when updating your shipping profiles, make sure you've added a transit time in addition to "Other". "

So, working with a Print Provider and having our Etsy shop synced with the print Provider, then OTHER should still be available, and to make sure we've selected a transit time window with OTHER. 

I Just edited one of my listings to go back to OTHER and picked 5-7 business days for the delivery window and it let me have the OTHER option for my shower curtains again. Warning is also gone from those listings!!!

This issue for POD shops has been CORRECTED! Yay!

@artbyjocelyn Warnings have gone from all my listings too - but I don't use POD. So looks to be resolving for everyone maybe?

@artbyjocelyn My shipping profiles are untouched - I left it as 'Other' and it's still says that. I'm just really confused as to why all the warnings have gone for me. I print and dispatch my own prints, so doesn't make sense.. I'm mean I'm not complaining! I'm very relieved for now.

Discovered while experimenting this morning:

So, all warnings are gone for me, I was able to keep shipping profiles that have Other in them (I had not changed anything, I left the warnings for later to decide what I wanted to do).

HOWEVER: Unfortunately, yesterday in the midst of it all, I listed a throw blanket and had to choose a Carrier and Class for that shipping profile before publishing. I now cannot edit that profile back to Other.
I cannot Duplicate a profile that has Other as the carrier option, nor can I Create a New Profile with Other as the option.

I also tried tricking it by switching the shipping profile for the throw blankets to Shipping from Canada (it presently ships from the US) and it Did allow me to choose OTHER and update the profile. However, when I then tried to edit it back to shipping from the USA, I can choose Other and set a delivery window, but Etsy will not let me publish it. 
Sooo, appears that what we had with Other in it, it is grandfathered, we can keep it, but going forward, we cannot create a profile for a listing that ships from the USA and choose OTHER as the carrier, we are still forced to choose a carrier and class for All destinations shipped to.

ADDING: I am trying to renew an expired product listing, and it is Forcing me to pick a Carrier and Class, so really, going forward, as items Expire, looks like we will be forced to edit the shipping profile as Other has been removed (there is a blurb from Etsy in the shipping section of the listing I am attempting to renew regarding this) so this is not going away.

Auto renewing when my shower curtains sell, seems to be fine keeping the shipping profile with the OTHER option in it, but anything I renew myself will force the editing of the shipping profile to publish.

 

@TheInkyDeer you left yours, luckily, so likely that is why you have Other still and all is fine. I was forced to edit one of my shipping profiles and now I cannot choose Other for it again, unfortunately, nor can I make a new profile nor duplicate and edit one of my old profiles to make a new profile.
