Listings are NOT showing any shipping information. Anyone else see this?
It’s definitely not showing shipping in the UK.
Same here, when I use my usual Safari, no shipping details, when I use Chrome, the shipping info is below the reviews along with descriptions!!!! All of this are located at the bottom of the listing
I'm on laptop, using Chrome. Unfortunately I don't see shipping details anywhere.
I'm also using Chrome and am in the UK and mine disappeared last night.
Message seller also gone from listings....
No shipping costs showing, no easy way to message the seller from the listing. WTH is going on here?
Maybe the new Etsy slogan should be "Sit down, shut up and just buy".
@shabbyfrenchvintage Explains why my customer has gone so quiet- jeez
What’s next? Etsy hiding price of the items? I’m starting to be feed up with there genius ideas!
I have only just noticed today and wondering if this has been going on for a while!
When buyers are viewing a listing it is no longer saying (ships from a small business in what ever the shop location is) in fact there is no indication at all now where the item is being shipped from, even when you add it to you cart its still not saying?? the only way to find out where it might be shipped from is by visiting the shop (and just how many buyers actually do that) That really could have a massive impact on sales, buyers want to know where the items is being shipped from!
Why is this showing as solved?!
Come on Etsy. Both of my shops missing shipping costs.
Bottom line, what they have done is ILLEGAL !!! They should know what is legal and illegal to do and stop testing the waters. Time for their coding department to GO They have been causing so many issues
Just bumping so we keep this at the top
I've been looking around for more information on the legality of this practice within the UK. The 2004 Price Marking Order was referenced earlier and it seemed a little ambiguous so have now found the Consumer Protection (Code of Practice for Traders on Price Indications) Approval Order 2005 which is a bit more specific for online sales:
'2.2.4. If you sell by distance contract, make clear any additional charges for postage, packing or delivery, so that consumers are fully aware of them before they commit themselves to buy. Where you cannot determine these charges in advance, you must indicate clearly how they will be calculated (eg 'Royal Mail rates apply'), or specify the place where the information is given.'
I am going to make clear that 'Royal Mail rates apply' at the bottom of each listing description, just to be safe. I'm still not entirely sure on the legality of Etsy's decision to only declare shipping costs at checkout based on this here, it still seems a bit vague. Any more lawyerly people able to better interpret?
Clearly a major issue Etsy! Why is it taking so long to resolve?
I don't think it's a glitch, unfortunately.... its done on purpose I believe. Some kind of another stupid UX Testing.
Not showing the shipping cost and all legal information on the product page, is not only ridiculous, but extremely unprofessional.
I can clearly picture the confused Etsy customers.... some wont even know how to check the shipping fee or contact the shop!
Whoever's in charge of UX Testing should be FIRED for coming up with the STUPID IDEA to remove all legal, contact and shipping info from the product page!
Can't be on purpose, there are laws in place.
You can not hide or remove certain information, buyers need to be able to make a informed decision when purchasing.
Most if not all the information missing now, is legally required to be easily available to the customers
Can't be on purpose, there are laws in place.
Of course it's on purpose.
Etsy thinks they are above the law as far as trading practices goes.
Just look at their dodgy habit of giving buyers refunds even though items show delivered and, in some cases, signed for.
Bumping this. I'm in the same boat ~ no detailed shipping info. An important thing for customers to know.
This was reported yesterday & is still not fixed. C'mon Etsy ~ have some self respect & do your job right.
Does anyone know if I edit the descriptions to add all the missing details, will it affect my search placement?
@CryzalisMasksUK You need to start your own thread to discuss this.
I just saw this, too! No shipping info at all! Some of mine have free shipping but many have calculated shipping and nothing is showing.
When shopping I can see items that ship from the UK but not any other country. I also can't see any postage cost from any country unless I add to basket.
Really not good when Christmas is around the corner and its most of our busiest time.
Just had a sale in from the United States, so it is not stopping everyone. But it is not acceptable to see one price and be hit with a delivery cost just before you pay from UK to USA
I'm in the US so it's not just a UK issue.
I think, or I should say I WANT TO THINK, that this is due to Etsy working on a bug fix for the wrong estimated delivery dates shown these days.
I'm having LOTS of issues with Etsy telling people my products are going to be delivered 7-10 days after the purchase when that's literally the time it takes me to produce them!
People complain and I'm going to get bad reviews that Etsy, of course, will refuse to remove...
