Listings are NOT showing any shipping information. Anyone else see this?
@ChillwolfArt
I'm still not seeing any shipping. There's nothing below the description.
Kind of makes me think since some are seeing the shipping and others are not that this is some kind of crazy test.
If a test who thinks up this mess?
How can this be a good thing for sellers or buyers?
Are you using the etsy shopping app or a pc? I can see shipping on the app just not on pc.
I’ve just had a regular customer reach out to me as she wanted to check out four postcards and it’s not combined the shipping, even though she put them in her basket, I’m getting lectured about my high shipping cost! she wants me to adjust the invoice before she pays, but of course I can’t, I’m hoping this isn’t also part of this issue.
@MaggieandRose Oh boy, sorry about that. No, we don't have the capability to adjust the shipping on an Invoice before the Customer pays. I used to sell on Ebay years ago, and they had that option (you could adjust the shipping on multiple purchases). That was a great option to have.
I can see most of all of your shipping where it is supposed to be. I checked several randomly. I found the shipping cost on each shop I checked. I did not see any w/o. I checked 5 different shops here.
@ChillwolfArt I'm on Chrome and still nothing has changed. Completely blank after the description. Since etsy is losing money with all of these lost sales, it seems like one of their worst ideas. I will NOT purchase until I can see the shipping cost, before I hit the Add to cart button. I want ALL of the information before I commit to buying.
I see shipping on yours, desktop chrome
@vintageNCtreasures I bet you're right. wilshepherd can see the shipping on my listings and on others. So I bet it is a user based test. It has to be the worst, right along with the Truncated Title thingamajig.
@JustMeToo Absolutely. Never have I purchased anything where I didn't see the shipping price. It's ludicrous, even if it is a test (which it seems to be; wilshepherd can see mine and everyone else's shipping cost).
@ChillwolfArt Sadly not the case on eBay anymore, particularly if you send or receive offers, they put each sale through individually it’s a pure nightmare.
@MaggieandRose Wow, I had no idea. I know people who sell there, but we never discussed that particular thing re: adjusting the Invoice.
I’ve checked my own items and several other shops I follow, no shipping showing anywhere!
Has Etsy given any updates in the last 7 hours or so on this? This is a pretty big deal. Ugh!
@FlatFlowerDesigns No updates other than the Pinned one from Admin ModFabio. But this does not look like a glitch, rather a test (which of course is user based as all tests are). Seller wilshepherd (above) says they can see the shipping cost on mine and everyone else's listings. Yet I can't see it on my own, or anyone else's. So this definitely looks like a test, and a bad one too. Doesn't even make sense.
This would explain the sudden drop in sales since around 8 hours ago. Honestly do they not test things internally before rolling them out, it seems like they might as well call it etsy Beta, because its a constant test
@ChillwolfArt I buy and sell on there and have people I buy multiple items from on a regular basis. I would send offers, they would accept, eBay put items into my basket, I asked for and received a combined invoice. Now if I send an offer the transaction is automatically processed immediately, if I want to buy multiple items it’s impossible to ask for a combined invoice. I cottoned on to this and ‘watched’ items, waiting for offers to come in. That way I could accept and add to basket, then get a combined invoice. Not any more, that way also now automatically processes each individual item, so the poor sellers have no option but to refund several lots of postage individually, incurring a fee for each refund! It’s putting me off buying on there to say the least.
You are not charged a fee on Etsy for refunds, you receive your initial fees back on the refunded amount.
Ebay's program of buyers requesting an invoice for purchase of multiple items is great. As the seller, I can calculate postage on the total sale. This is one thing I wouldn't mind Etsy employing. Wishful thinking..........
Well, they did say they'd continue to tinker with shipping to make it a better experience for buyers.
I fail to see how stuff like this makes things better for buyers.
I sure hope this is not a test. I STILL, since hours ago, cannot see shipping on all the shops I have checked (and I have checked A LOT) including mine on my laptop. I CAN see shipping and all other missing details when using my phone. This is such a poor time to have this happen to all of us. The holiday shopping season has started. What are they thinking?
@SeaByTheShore It is a test (and a stupid one at that). wilshepherd (a few posts above), said they could see the shipping price on my listings and on others. I still can't see it (on mine or anyone else).
@ChillwolfArt I took a look and I don't see any information below the description on your listings. In other words, no shipping cost listed.
And why does Etsy think it is a good idea to put returns accepted right beneath the listing title?
"Arrives soon! Get it by Nov 12-15 if you order today
Returns accepted"
ah, yes mine too. This is not good
When I look thru the items on my favorited list, I can see the shipping cost there. But not on the listing itself.
Just noticed. My Free Shipping Items are no longer visible on my listings unless Potential Buyer puts item in their cart. This is crazy!!
@ChillwolfArt I looked at your shop a few minutes ago, no shipping pricing anywhere! I do not have any in my shop.
@ThePaintedCellarCo Same for me (I don't see the shipping price in my Shop, or in others). But wilshepherd (above) said they do see mine as well as others. So it looks like it's a stuck on stoopid test.
