Listings are NOT showing any shipping information. Anyone else see this?
Hello everyone, and thanks for the reports. I referred your concerns internally so they can be investigated.
As soon as we have any updates, we'll let y'all know.
Hello folks,
Thank you all for your reports. We deeply apologise for the frustration and confusion here. A fix has now been deployed. I'll close this up, with my best to you as always.
Yes - I checked some of your listing and then some of mine - no shipping cost anywhere (and I really hunted)!
I am shocked, if I look at my listing just under handmade it says "delivery from small business in United Kingdom"
but when I look at shops not in the United Kingdom, there is no information where it is being delivered from.
If I purchased from a shop which has United States under their profile name and receive a tracking from another country, I would be cancelling the order instantly and reporting it to my card provider.
Customers need to be fully informed, before making a purchase.
I see the same thing as you.
I was just about to say the same, I was looking to buy something, but can't find any postage costs, which is really annoying, will have to give up, as searched everywhere too!
Thanks @NanaLetha ... it seems really odd that such an important part of a listing would end up going MIA! At first I thought it was another location change like how the description keeps dancing around the page, but nope ... it is completely gone! This is NOT good for customers (or sellers either)!!
@TBQSC The shipping cost only shows up once I add an item to my cart. I'm hoping it's a glitch and not something Etsy thinks is a great change!
Seriously? OMG! Etsy, please don't make this a permanent change!
@NanaLetha - Hopefully they don't want it that way intentionally so that once items are in a cart for a few hours, they can send their delightful abandoned cart coupon!
I hope this is a glitch too because if Etsy intends to make this permanent I am so going to be not only ticked but start my plans to leave. This is going to break this camel's back if it is not a test.
Shipping cost is showing, but not where it is being shipped from, and there is no way the shop I checked who claim they are in the United States could send a large parcel for under $5 from the states to the UK
Well this may also explain why I have so many items in carts at the moment !!!!
Same. If this isn't a glitch, it is a stupid idea, as I am sure buyers (and myself) like to know how much the shipping/postage cost is. Adding an item to the basket to find out that cost is stupid. I wonder how long this has been ongoing, as it could and probably has hindered getting any orders.
No shipping info here either. I know this will affect my sales.
Same here - can't see any shipping cost, location. OR, contact seller info. The whole section under description details is blank.
NO contact seller info either??? OMG, this is definitely NOT good!!
I just noticed the same thing and was really confused by it. As a buyer I always look at item cost and shipping cost to get the total cost. Total cost is what matters. I find a lack of transparency concerning and it would stop me from buying. I hope this is a glitch.
There is also no "ships from"!
Mine says "ships from a small business in WA". I do not see any location on your items!
I'm sure this is quite intentional, as I've come across the same on some other sites, meaning I have to dig around for the info or get to "checkout" before I can see it.
Etsy thinks that buyers can't handle the fact that shipping costs money, and they gamble on the notion that once it's in a cart they'll just go ahead and buy.
They think that seeing it in the listing page is a minuscule bit more off-putting whereas the exact opposite is true, IMO, because if I have to put something in a cart to see the shipping, and if then shipping is too much, I take it out of the cart and am pissed off for wasting my time on the stupid transaction.
ETA, I still have "ships from", in two spots.

Any updates? Is it a test? I'm sure you've heard by now.

Edited to add: "Fee Shipping" icon missing under listings on search result pages. Any thoughts?
I hope this is a glitch.
Another hair brained idea if it's not a glitch.
If this is intentional, I wonder why they didn't wait 'til Friday to launch it!!!??
