Listings Disappearing Again...Problem Not Fixed

We are one of the shops that also had pages/listing gone missing. We also chatted with support to say it will be further looked into. Hours after that chat, all of our items came back. Favorites started up again, and a few sales came in on the items missing. We began to check in since then every couple hours...On both lap -top n Phones. The items are going missing, then coming back. We have had family checking on their devices as if they are a buyer to browse and same thing. Our top selling items missing..We cannot sell what cannot be seen. We cannot sell what we paid a listing fee for. Customers cannot favorite to perhaps return to purchase , what they cannot see. We joined the Etsy community 4 years ago after many of our locals in our small mom n pop physical store front encouraged us to do so. 4 years on here with over 5,000 sales. Working hard to expand our business. Hiring help (packers) to keep things moving along...Being in business 14 years come this July and 4 years here...we know exactly which months are the slow downs..and why...things do not just stop...and become complete silence on a platform across the US. Favorites all day do not just stop. We average 200 messages a month, they do not just stop...However...when your items are non-existent...they will. This is not a hobby to us, we are financially invested like many others. I have read some opinions such as....never put your eggs in one basket...When you are a high volume shop...and a small business..you cannot handle another platform while the volume is high with orders on one. The fate of every one of our shops is in the hands of Etsy. This problem is not fixed or even found for all we know. Do they know what it is? Is this intentional? Everyone that reached out...and was told you will hear back via email when they look into this...have you heard back?

"Hey all! 

We recently experienced an issue that limited the total amount of listings displayed on mobile web when clicking through shops with more than 3 pages of listings for a short time. Our engineers were able to identify and resolve this issue yesterday afternoon, May 23rd. All impacted shops are now showing every page of listings at this time. 

Thanks!"

For some reason only mobile is mentioned but I recall forum posts stating the issue was on their computers too and that others could see all items in their shop but the seller could not. I would reach out to chat support again and request a ticket number so you know the team will see and fix your problem. Hope this helps.

Yes you are right not only on the laptops which cache has been cleared out but around the world, my " wee " shop is in Scotland and is not fixed either? This has become a right fix it site everyday, no longer stable since Josh Silverman has taken over, he's to busy sipping Martinis on his yacht. Grief!!!!!!!!!

I don't know.  It's not a widespread issue.  Every shop I have visited has all their items visible.  

I did have the issue with the app.  I noticed but a tap and the items appeared.

The problem is if this is not a widespread issue it is very hard for Etsy, as it is for any programming, to locate the programming that has faltered. 

But I noticed you didn't mention clearing out cache and cookies.  A new cookie helps. As to the phone, the old app or new?  The new app seems to be problematic on many levels for many.  Perhaps uninstall and reinstall.

From my experience you most likely won't hear back. I have some tickets open now since 2018 about items being blocked by their top key search terms. Etsy continues to say they are looking into it and suddenly things go back to "normal". Then a few months later the same thing happens again. They tell you to update your titles tags etc. I send screen shots of what is happening and show some of the listings aren't showing up and waste hours and hours of time. Then things out of the blue go back to "normal" BUT not for all listings that were impacted. I have an item that has sold a ton. In the past few months a handful of sales. Thousands to less than 20. I have one listing that sells daily and again, it hasn't sold in 7 days. Random listings that rarely sell are selling. So, stuff is being messed with. 

I've been here for 9years. I also "know" my business here and due to not having employees that help other than on blank item making days and one person with packaging, I can tell when things are off. This is the difference between a big business drop shipping on Etsy and a Small Business that is intimately involved with everything. And yet, we are not heard and we are the ones that add diversity to the site.

Eggs in multiple baskets is all we can do.

***I'm getting mad because every listing I look at is in a different format. Come on. It is something I've encountered in the past. When it previously happened sales came to a halt. Today, 2 sales on a day in May is not normal. It is wedding season..10-30/day is "normal". Something isn't functioning properly.***
