I noticed the last week or so when I copy a listing and change the title after I do everything else and publish it it reverts back to the original listing title I have to go back and change it again then it stays that way has anyone else encountered this.
I use copy all the time and have not experienced this.
So do I but recently it’s been doing this sometimes just a color change or but the description doesn’t revert back just the title
I copy listings frequently too, but have not run into this issue yet either. But when I copy a listing, I usually have it listed as a draft for a while before publishing it. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.
@Itsforyoujewelry Yes I’ve started experiencing this too, since Sunday, but only when editing the listing in the App.
So I do my listing, publish it, leave the app, go into the listing again in the browser and change the title to what I want it to be. Cumbersome, but at least it’s a workaround.
Yes thanks yeah must be something they need to change I’m so used to just doing it and be done I forgot then I look and a day later people probably thinking this guy does not even have the right color I’ll just have to go back and double check at least till they get it fixed
This has happened to me too. It was also the description! After looking back at the listing a FEW days later. I was embarrassed to see that like you colors and material were not correct. I have experienced this again this AM. That’s a lot of work to have to re-do.
This is happening to me as well and I came here to report it and found you already have. It has happened on at least the last two listings that I put up today, I only noticed after I listed the item and then went to “see your listing”. (To create a new listing I usually copy a “sold-out” listing that is the closest to the one I am putting up. ). At first I thought it was possible I made a mistake, but I was super careful the second time and it still occurred. The other day I lost the whole listing I had copied, and now I wonder if that might have been due to a glitch as well. That especially is a waste of time. I am using the app, I think, because I am on my iPad (I get confused about whether I’m using an app version or not because it seems there are several different versions - and they seem to require that I change over to another version each time) . It is easier to use my iPad than open up Etsy on my old HP Desk top, although I may do this next time to see if it prevents erasure of listing titles.
Same experience-with descriptions as well. I use an IPad too.
Hi, this happened last year too and it’s incredibly frustrating.
It is happening with both my titles and description in the app, despite hitting save and the blue pop up telling me it has done so.
I am now copying my text into notes, and as noted above publishing then editing - not ideal at all (plus I just wrote a long description then forgot to take my own advice, argh!)
They fixed it last time, I’m pretty sure it’s the same glitch. Is there a way to report it?
This happens to me sometimes, I think it’s if you change the title first before changing the photos or description. Whatever is causing it, I find that if I copy the title before publishing I can just paste it back in if it reverts. Also I find that pressing ‘preview’ before listing helps. This also happens on EBay if you do a ‘sell similar’ listing, preview seems to sort it.
I thought I was crazy- had that happen the past week. I knew I changed the title, but when I sold it- the title had reverted. I am watching for it now. Another Etsy glitch....
Well, yay. I thought I was going crazy when I copied a listing to make a new one a few days ago. I was *sure* I had changed the title but figured my ADHD kicked in and I forgot.
What a relief that I'm not going bonkers!
It's bad enough the alt text is boggy and takes forever to "catch up" with the typing.
Some days it's a real temptation to scrap 30 years of being self employed and go back to a mindless job that I can walk away from at the end of the work day.
Then I remember I do not play well with others so self employment is pretty much the best option for me.
(I have no filter between my brain and mouth lol)
Yes, it will happen after changing another piece of the listing. Frustrated me immensely but I found that if I just change my title and save the listing as a draft and then continue my editing afterwards I don't experience the issue anymore.
This finally is correct now
