I have a single listing which was set up correctly showing a quantity of 6 items available, and it worked for the first two sales. But now it appears as a single item only in my shop, though it's definitely set up on my seller end as having a quantity of 4 available. I've contacted Etsy Support and had no specific response. Just now I tried copying the listing, again setting it up as a quantity available item, and it still comes up as one single item. This is fabric, so units are important. Anyone have any insights?
Which item is it?
It could be that the amount is only shown in the cart. So someone needs to add it to their cart and then they can update the quantity.
I don't know if this is a test that etsy tries over and over or if it's browser based but there are times where quantities can only be updated from inside the cart.
It must be $20 or more - that's why.
@SheerTrashRoadshow Nanaletha is most likely right - years ago, Etsy decided to not show quantities for items priced above $20 (without variations), and the shopper needs to add to cart and then see the option to up the quantity.
It's been years, and I have yet to see no good reason for this. It's just dumb, and confusing. I've had more than one convo from Buyers asking if I have more, and then I feel like a doofus explaining to them they need to add to their cart - like I'm trying to trick them into buying g.
