I am having trouble while listing items. I want to choose standard shipping, which is calculated based on size and weight of the box. I am not given a place to put weight or size of the package. I am given two choices, free shipping or fixed shipping. I have tried changing my shipping settings. But I have the same problem, I am only given the two options. I have spent the last two hours trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Did I miss an announcement about a change to shipping? I am so frustrated. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for your help.

The first box opens. Fillin information then click on continue.
Go down to Shipping area. Click on shipping profile box. Select profile.
Next click on sign to add weights and dimensions.
If you wan to do only a fixed shipping without a profile then you will need to switch back to the old form.
My suggestion is to send Etsy an email. That finally worked for me. Ask them to please reset your country of origin for your shop. Just like the original poster of this thread discovered. It worked for me too! Thank goodness! Online chats and even a phone chat felt like I wasn't getting results very quickly. Good luck!
When you go to settings and on the shipping settings tab you create a new profile, you should see this

Let us calculate them or enter fixed prices yourself

February 2024 and I am having the same problem. Maddening that this is not fixed yet when OP reported it in August of 2023. Being able to set up calculated shipping weights and profiles is critical!
started having this problem today april 29th 2024, so they are rolling out the glitch slowly, been on etsy for 14 years
This entire scenario just happened to me! I was able to convince customer service to reset my country of origin even though it was already saying USA. And tada! Everything now works for calculated shipping. Seems like if it’s a known issue they could fix the platform not just one shop at a time.
