Listing Removed for violating Handmade policy. Etsy, please Help!

I am a star seller and was lucky enough to have one of my listings picked as an "Etsy's Pick".  Last week that listing was removed, and I received an email saying that it was flagged/reviewed and violated the handmade policy.  There is no way, I hand make 100% of these by myself and read through the policy to see if there was some kind of technicality, which there is not.  This listing has 4000 plus sales and at this time of year I do $1K per week in sales on this listing.  Quite literally, this listing pays my bills.  I am a week into this issue with no help from Etsy, only said that they would escalate the issue for someone to review and now it is a waiting game.  To say I am in desperate need of a resolution would be an understatement.  I have mentioned this under an older thread, but it was suggested to start my own thread to get eyes on it.

Do you sell on any other sites?  Are your pictures being used by someone else?
It seems the Etsy bots are taking down any items seen on any other sites as 'not handmade'.

Only an Etsy human can fix this, and they are few and far between.

Is there an appeals process? Can you send video of you making part of it? Keep pushing back at etsy until someone responds, but use the same ticket, don't open new ones.

Re: Listing Removed for violating Handmade policy. Etsy, please Help!

The 'best sellers' and 'etsy's picks' are targets for scam shops to steal the listing photos and either create fake listings, or offer knockoff replica items based on your photos. Have you looked to see if your photos have been stolen and are being used on other sites? Etsy uses image recognition to identify these items and has recently been flagging more for not being handmade because they are found on those other sites.

You need to see if they are on those sites, then figure out how to file proper takedown notices against them.

You need to send them process photos/videos of you making your items. Even though they normally say you can't appeal, I have seen them reverse these decisions when shops have fought back (as I say, ignore them saying you can't appeal just like they ignore us).

Re: Listing Removed for violating Handmade policy. Etsy, please Help!

Hello there,

I think I am facing exactly such a problem. I have more than one listing on ‘’ Etsy's pick’’But today I realized they were all lost. I received a response stating that it did not comply with Etsy policy, but this is not the case. Did you find out the reason for this?

Thank you!
