Hello Etsy Community,
I’m reaching out here because I’m facing an issue with my Etsy shop that I hope someone can help me with. On August 3,2024 , one of my listings was removed by Etsy’s automated systems, flagged for allegedly violating the Creativity Standards. I believe these listings are fully compliant with Etsy’s guidelines and have not violated any policies. All the photos in my shop are of my daughter, who is my model. The photos have been stolen by various China vendors because my Etsy listing is popular, and this item was originally publishedby me on Etsy 6-7 years ago. . I have called, emailed, and written a snail-mail letter to Etsy asking for a prompt resolution but it has been 7 weeks with NO reply. The call center told nme my issue, with case number assigned, would be escalated. I am still waiting.
I promptly submitted an appeal for the reinstatement of these listings over 7weeks ago and received an automated response acknowledging my request. However, despite waiting patiently and sending a follow-up email, I haven’t received any further communication from Etsy Support. The estimated loss of revenue for this popular listing is about $250-300 per week. (Times 7 weeks is over $2000 and counting)
The removal of this listing is having a significant impact on my small business, and I’m really concerned about the lack of response. I would greatly appreciate any advice from the community or assistance from Etsy Support to help escalate this issue and resolve it as soon as possible. I have done everything includeing documenting that I won the photos for all of my listings, which are of my daugher, as I said earlier. Not only have my designs been stolen by Chinese vendors, but some of my photos are still being used despite my filing to have them taken down, as I own the copyrights to all of them.
