Listing Published 5 Times Just Now

I doubt I'll be getting my fees back (sad face emoticon here). Etsy's site was giving me an error message when I tried to publish a new listing. I left it a while, then came back to try again, and it has published 5 times, costing an extra .20 x4 fees.
My husband looked at the weird screen I was getting, trying to open a 2nd tab to view my shop when I was getting the error, a long string of letters, and he said it was a server issue.

Would anyone recommend bothering to try to recoup .80 cents in fees?! lol!

I did use the chat to contact Etsy CS. I'll see what happens.

yes i would fight.

for my 80 cents.

i pay enough fees.

without just handing them free money too.

etsy had issues while you were listing.

so let them know.

It wouldn't hurt to ask Etsy. But contacting Etsy sometimes is more hassle than it's worth.

I just published 3 listings myself... they show as being "Active" in the Drafts folder, with a note saying they were moved to the "Active Listings" on Etsy. But they were not. They aren't in Active Listings, they don't show as published or show in my shop. I can "View" the listing from the Shop Manager, but they aren't visible or searchable in the shop (But the listings fees were deducted). So there is something very glitchy going on

The site was just blipping. I was trying to list something and just kept getting an error message though there wasn't an error in my listing. If you, I'd be asking for me fees back.

Customer Service chat person was very helpful and my extra fees were credited back.

When I started this was strictly forbidden and one thing etsy WOULD "getcha" for doing. Whether it has changed, I do not know--they seem to be slow to non existant to letting us know about changes.

@ThePurplePuppy: Interesting, was not aware that "recycling" a listing was ever (or still is) a no no. Learn something new every day.

In the beginning (or my beginnings) Etsy considered it fee avoidence. No idea why as you had paid that money. I know I saw the "no no" when I read the seller handbook originally. But so many things have changed and with no input  from Etsy as to whether it is OK now or not.

I am one of the oddballs that read EVERYTHING when I signed up--even all the tiny print in the TOUs--somethings I remember and some not, obviously! LOL

Certainly you can ask them about this.  When you had the issue, did you check your payment account to see if the listing published?  I suggest that when things go wonky.

It could be your ISP cut out creating this issue.  If your ISP was glitching that sends the wrong message to the listing system.

I would certainly ask Etsy.  Chat can usually help with this one.

Yes, I did (posting from my other shop).
It was a widespread issue it appears.
Chat, for my issue this aft, was very helpful and I did receive the 4 listing fee costs back as credits. .80 is really nothing but I do pay a lot of relisting fees so figured I'd at least ask, and glad I did.

I don't know if this is off topic or not but my messageing page is all messed up again like before--with having to reduce the page to read the prior message. I wonder if this is tied up with Etsy FIXING the blip of this morning? MY messages were fine when I answered one early today but just went to reply to a new one and the page is all messed up again! Typical.
