Listing Preview message ... "Unable to Process purchases...try again in a bit"

I've seen reference to this issue before, but can no longer find any of the messages. Each time I go to "Preview" a new listing (and before it's Published), a message appears on the screen which reads "You can browse, but we're unable to process purchases at the moment. Try again in a bit." Seeing something in the forum yesterday suggesting that this might have a negative effect on buyers completing orders from a shop that experiences this message, I communicated with Etsy Chat earlier today with no success. They've now referred me to a "technical assistant" who will respond "shortly" with an email. Well, we all know that's not going to happen. My suspicion is that it is impacting orders from my shop since I've had ZERO since the middle of last week, and I'm routinely accustomed to multiple orders per day. Has anyone else had this issue, was it resolved, and if so, how? Many thanks.

@BeJeweledByDEBORAH   Here is a Thread where the OP and others were having issues.    Admin EnigmaPuzzleStudio addressed it; later the OP announced their problem was fixed.  But others reported they were still having issues.

Just a thought.  Don't Preview a listing.  I never have.  If there are many edits to be done, I'll Deactivate it and make those edits, then Reactivate the listing (if it's a quick edit, I'll leave the listing "live" while I make the edit).  But I just don't use "Preview".  Sometimes I think it messes things up when it shouldn't.

I just posted in some of the other threads about the issue, but I had a customer contact me saying that they couldn't complete their purchase.  Since I deal with mostly out of print designs, it makes sense that customers will actually contact me when they want something because they usually cannot get it somewhere else.  So, I was able to set up a new listing for her to be able to check out.  Originally, I thought it might have something to do with the sign in process, but she was actually able to purchase the new custom/reserved listing while logged in... so it must be something else.  Etsy obviously messed up some kind of connection in there that is causing problems for purchasing.  

The biggest problem with all of this is that many of us can accept payments in an alternative way... but Etsy calls that "fee avoidance" and can shut our shops down. Otherwise, I would suggest setting up an alternative payment option for customers.  If customers are not contacting you, though, then it's hard to know if there is really an issue affecting your shop. I made it through the entire process in your shop without actually purchasing (although, I'm thinking about it... lol).  I favorited some items and your shop.  Maybe that will shake something loose for you. I know many people are not buying right now, so hopefully things pick up for you soon... and if it's an Etsy issue, I sure hope they get it fixed immediately!
