DID YOU KNOW that if you list an item for less than $20 and have multiples of that item your listing will show a quantity box that allows the customer to select the number of items she wants to purchase before placing in the cart. But if the item is more than $20 they will only be able to select the number they desire after they place the item in their shopping cart and go to check out. Without specific information in the listing the customer may think you only have one for sale. I wish I had known this a long time ago as now I'm editing lots of my listings to assist customers who are as totally confused as me!
Etsy's form of help is "this is known issue and we will share your feedback."
It has been this way for a long long time now and I doubt it's an etsy issue at all. If Etsy told you it was an issue, then clearly they don't know what they're talking about.
On your items where you have more than 1 and the price is more than $20 I do see this on the listing page "only 6 available" or "only 5 available" depending on the item.
So a shopper can see how many of the items you have before adding to the cart.
Yes this is true.
It's been that way for about 2 years now, and has been brought up the forums periodically.
