Has anyone been experiencing a delay in being notified of a sale? Tonight, I noticed that the app will say there is a new order in the dashboard, but there won’t be a record of it in the Orders menu until much later (and no cha Ching lol).
That happens sometimes. I think its due to payment not being officially cleared yet. Does it say pending?
This is happening to me! Yesterday I posted several new items and renewed several others between 9 and 10 in the morning CST. This morning (read: 24+ hours later!) I woke up to order notifiction but there was NOTHING there all day yesterday. Yet, when I load my listings to view sales stats with the criteria of most recent, the sold items are CLEARLY showing before all my updates from yesterday. I sent a thank you and processed the order right away this morning. Here's my concern, Etsy. I've lost "star seller status" because of communication. If this order was sitting there for over 24 hours and you perceive it as "poor communcation" THIS IS NOT ME! Until you time-stamp every order, I really think this system is flawed. Many of the people in this forum can sympathize with your situation, but if you look through the various threads on this forum you'll see that there are all sorts of issues with the Etsy apps. The consensus seems to be that sellers really need to manage their orders and messages through a browser until the apps are *fixed*.
This issue (and many others) all seem to be related to how and when the Etsy Apps synchronize or don't - that is why it sometimes works to log out and then log back in or delete and reinstall the app. These actions appear to force the app to get fresh data.
