Invalid Alt-text field

My sister is attempting to list her first items on Etsy, and she is getting a red flag saying "Invalid Alt-text field. Please make changes to meet the criteria.    What changes? How does she do that?

Is she trying to use alt-text on a photo?

Just need an explaination of what exactly is alt-text. It doesn't explain what it is.

I wouldn't bother with the alt text until she has learnt everything else. If you don't enter anything into the alt text field then Etsy will use the listing title instead.
