Jumping Cursor problem NOT fully resolved - trouble with DEL key and select-delete

Yesterday, the cursor jumps whenever you press a key.

Now the problem is mostly resolved, but when pressing the DELETE/DEL key(delete character after the cursor), the cursor still jumps to the end.

And, if you select some words or a paragraph and press backspace (not only DEL), the cursor also jumps to the end.

I proof read my messages before sending them, the DEL key and the select-delete feature are essential to me whenever I edit the messages.

Can someone please tell the front-end devs to not re-invent the wheel, thanks!

I cannot reply to Convos at all that will make any sense.  The cursor jumps to random places as I type, creating gibberish.

Have you done a full refresh? For windows it's Ctrl+F5, i think for mac it's cmd+shift+R. I hope it helps a bit.

I was having a similar problem yesterday. I could type one character easily, and in the correct location in the Reply box. With the second character, the cursor went to the end of the document. I finally ended up typing my reply to convos in a text program (wordpad or notepad, can't remember which) and copying what I needed to say to the customer, with a "paste". 

I shut off my computer last night as usual, came back in today and have had no problem with convos. No idea what that little glitch was! 

PS I was describing this just now to my SO, who is a programmer, and he said offhanded-ly, "that's a defective WYSIWYG editor". ("What you see is what you get").

Yes, it was like what you described yesterday, they fixed it to some degree, but still, there are useful keys like DEL and features causing the cursor to jump to the end. So, this is a follow-up to that partially fixed problem.

I was having the cursor issue yesterday and it's ok today and not happening but now when trying to send a convo, once I hit 'send' it just erases the whole thing and doesn't send the message.

This didn't happen to me. Sometimes there's a delay. Maybe paste the contents to a text editor just to be safe?

I know no devs wants to create bugs, but I wish they could have done some basic testing before deployment.

And before claiming it's fixed, please test it to see if it really works, or simply ask the users to see if there are more problems. It never hurts to ask.

Instead, they said "You should be able to reply to Messages at this time without any further issues. " 

Yes, I "should" have no problems, but no, I'm still having issues!

Because you didn't test it, again!

And if no one says something, they may think everything is fixed, and may very well leave the problems unresolved.

Does Etsy even hire anyone to do testing? It's one of the least paid jobs in the field of IT.

I'm having this issue as well. Any time I hit the DEL key it jumps to the end of the text. It doesn't do this is any other applications so I can only assume it's an issue with Etsy. Ironically it doesn't appear to be doing it in this input box, only on Etsy messages. I look forward to this being resolved. Thank you!
