on July 27th, I sold an item. I had ONE listed . It shipped and was delivered to the buyer.
today someone else purchased the same item from me. I DID NOT RELIST IT!!!!
Now I have an item that I cant fulfill because I already sold it.
I cant find any reason this item reappeared. Any ideas?

@BlueHouseLane I've heard of this happening, and it's almost always the Seller's mistake. Look in your Payment Account for the older order, and see if there was a 20 cent relist fee as part of the order. That would tell you you probably had a quantity of 2, by mistake.
Sorry that happened!
* Just a lovely shop you have! Maybe offer the Buyer a coupon for some similar item in your shop?
It says this under it. Auto-renew sold listing So how do I stop it from auto renewing?
fyi, there is no other fee for reinsertion, it just reappeared.
"Auto-renew sold" is the fee for relisting an item with a quantity of more then one.
When you are listing an item, be sure and change the auto-renew to manual. I sometimes forget and have to go back and check any new listings I have made that day.
If you want to stop this listing from renewing, go in to edit the item and look for the auto-renew/manual buttons.
@Former_Member auto renew is for the 4 month listing period. A listing with a quantity of only one should never relist when sold.
That’s because you set the quantity at more than one by mistake.
Is it possible you copied another listing when you listed that item and it was a multiple listing?
Been there and done that.
Luckily I caught mine before it sold again.
@Former_Member Sold out does not auto renew. That’s only for expired or a quantity of more than one.
I had this happen too on a, couple items, I guarantee I had only one quantity. I was shocked to see them relisted, especially when my items are unique it looks bad and shady
I have had it happen also. Have never figured it out.
I've had that happen a couple times recently. I had an item that was sold out the other day --the item said SOLD OUT--and then it jumped back in my active products and someone bought it.
Same has happened to me recently and I honestly do not understand it. I check my listings regularly to ensure everything listed is actually still available, and yet somehow “phantom” listings are appearing! These items were literally SOLD OUT and DELETED from all my listing folders... they do not exist on Etsy, so there is no conceivable way they could be relisted, and yet they are ... and people are buying them! I had to issue refunds twice last week, and then yesterday's "mysterious reappearance item” ... luckily, I was able to dropship it directly from my supplier rather than wait for my next shipment from them. But the point is ... this should not be happening ... at all ... to anyone ... and yet it is! What is going on with Etsy?!?! I feel I have to be on my constant guard with them all the time now!
This has happened to me too. highly annoying as had to fire up my wax melter and make a new set of candles when I didn’t particularly want to. The buyer mentioned they were a birthday gift and decided not to let them down…
