I just did a quick search to check where one of my items fall on etsy's search... and it is not there. I typed in the exact words in the title, and nothing! Does anyone have an opinion why this would happen? Could it be a bug? I am upset now..
Everyone sees different search results. I just searched "grey fox necklace" and your items appeared in slots two and three. What search term were you using?
@TheCrimsonBeetle Keep in mind that if everyone on this forum searched for the exact same phrase they would all get different results. Because of personalized searches you can NOT rely on anyone's search results, not even your own, to define how your listing is ranked. The old way of estimating ranking by searching for your item is dead. The only way to know your listing's ranking would be for Etsy to share its algorithm but even that changes constantly as they tweak it.
I searched for 'Carved stone bear necklace' and your item appears on page 2, position 17. I am in the UK so local listings get priority placement in search results. This is just to illustrate that search results are personalised according to many factors including location and past search history.
If they don't show up at all it sure makes you wonder if they're being seen. My sales have fallen off drastically. So don't tell me to relax, everything'd fine!
If you are shipping to the UK, you need compliant policies. GDPR, Right of Withdrawal, 30 day return. The lack of these may cause Etsy to push listings further down in search.
