Item Detail Section/Hidden, Needs attention

With the holiday shopping season just around the corner, I believe Etsy urgently needs to enhance both its mobile and desktop browsing experiences for buyers. The item detail section is difficult to find—so much so that many non-sellers might not even realize it’s there. It's challenging to fit all the essential product information and ordering details within just the photos and title.

Clear, accessible product information is critical for a smooth shopping experience.

Etsy, *please* consider making these updates soon!

Hi, You're not speaking to Etsy; we are just other Sellers here on the Forum. Right now, I am seeing the Description (Item Details) in the Right Column (desktop computer). But I know Etsy has been moving it (back and forth). You may just see a collapsed Tab (Item Details) under the photo. And true, it's easy to miss. And I do wonder about Buyers who see it one way, then go to look for a Description another day, and it's in a different spot.

Etsy told me to post it here and that "someone" would address my concerns. I know where it is on the desktop and the mobile app, however it is hard to find and lots of buyers don't even know it is there. I will try to contact technical support through chat again.

@ItsAllAboutYouAmy  I know, they often tell people to post it here and someone will address those concerns. But that's silly because we can't do anything, and they know that, so it's just a way to gently blow you off. Chat isn't Etsy employees from what I understand, and they normally read from scripts. And they don't consider the positioning of Item Details (or the back and forth of it), a technical problem.
Unfortunately, they change the positioning of it all the time. I thought they cooled it down for a while, because I'd been seeing in in the Right Column, but I see they haven't.

The description should be under the listing photo where it belongs.  That's the way it used to be.  It's a much wider space so the description doesn't look like it's going on and on and on so the whole description fits, without hitting a "see more" button. They can put the reviews on the right.

I agree that the details section should be visible just below the photo where buyers can full information.  Many tell me they didn't know it was even there.  The reviews should not be placed above item details there but below details and below shipping information.  I hope they change it back to the way it used to be. Thanks.

@LILLYPOPSSTUDIO   This is an old post.  The details are to the right on a computer.  On the app it is different and it has been that way for years.

Etsy has played with moving the description back under photos but quickly it reverts to the right again where it include all information beyond the description including attributes. 

I prefer on the right.  Under the photos is not a help as information cannot be presented well.
