After weeks of dealing with this issue, FINALLY getting it resolved, it’s happening again! As far as I can tell, when you view my shop on the app, only a couple of listings are visible. And when you click on the Sections, it shows nothing! I am SO over this!

@SweaterZoo  Yes, I already went through this whole thing with Etsy weeks ago. It finally was "fixed" Then it started happening again. Now I check my shop through the app a couple of times a day...sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Great incentive for shoppers to find things!

Does your apron happen to be the only item in your shop with shipping less than $6? It might be a relevant clue - pardon the pun.

I posted the comment below in another thread back in October.

I don't use mobile devices at all, so I am running blind.

When you navigate to a shop on the app, does the sort default to Relevance or does it default to what the seller specified - either Custom or Most Recent.

I ask because there was a glitch earlier in the month where entering a shop on a Relevance sort did not display all items, and left blank spots where some listings should be.

I only did a little bit of testing at the time but it appeared to be for US shops only & the sort seemed to favour listings with US shipping of $5.99 or less.

The problem seems to be fixed now for non-mobile devices.

YES!! Same thing is happening too my shop!!! Ive had 4 regular customers message me asking if I was still selling becuase nothing appears when they click on it...."NO ITEMS FOUND".  Etsy's response and fix to my complaint was for me to offer free shipping, lower my shipping prices, or roll into my price for "better visability".. BS!!! This is maddening.  Im usually very busy in the Fall time, and my sales are non-existant!! .

Sounds like you were talking to a bot that had NO idea what you were talking about and assumed you were complaining of general visiblity in search. Either that or they effed up something when putting in the low shipping update and it's messing with the app. Both are 100% likely tbh - you'd think for a site that calls itself a tech company they'd be better at running the tech...

i'm still having to deactivate/reactivate my listings everyday for them to appear properly... anybody have any luck with a real resolution or have an active support ticket regarding this issue? or is etsy just dodging all complaints because it's a big problem that requires a big fix? they definitely muffed something up.

Tons of customers shop via the app so this is costing sales. I use the iPhone with app and many stores are not showing all their listings. When I filter by Custom they show up but customers won’t know to do this.

got a response from a support member today about this issue. their response was basically that:

1. the engineering team is currently looking into it. the details/screenshots i provided them were added to their on-going investigation.

2. at this time, they do not have a timeline for when the issue will be resolved but that they prioritize issues based on "the impact to our members."

 

that last part makes me wonder a bit... everyone affected by this issue just sitting by and wishing it get fixed? because it sounds like if not everyone is submitting formal support tickets based on the issue, maybe it's not being prioritized as something to fix quickly?

ironically, in the support members signature below their name is a link to 'download the etsy app today!'

I'm willing to bet that not that many sellers even know about this issue. If you're like me and seldom use the app, you wouldn't know about it -- unless you're a regular Forum user and have read the many threads about it. Or someone (customer, seller, friend) brings it to your attention.

The same is happening to me.  It’s the app showing 5 items- clicking on show all items does nothing.  You would think these problems would be easily fixable with Etsy tech support.., oh wait that would require someone to do something.  No wonder this busy season is non existent.

Actually I am thinking this is just completely outrageous that Etsy can’t hire the personnel to keep things running properly.  Keep commerce human is a joke.  They don’t want real help, they want cheerleaders for their lame brained schemes.  Seller help is an index of articles .  Believe me, if I could do it myself it would be done

yep, that's the exact glitch which we're all referring to.

if that's how the app has been functioning for buyers (who won't know to change the filter) then that would explain the drop in sales for so many shops. buyers simply think 'no items' are available ...because that's what's presented at first glance. 

submit a support ticket to raise awareness, i guess that's all i can suggest at this rate. include screenshots.

the temporary fix for your shop is to deactivate/reactivate every listing. everyday. (for me it reverts back to the glitch every 24 hours. for some, it's been less than 24). i see you have 392 listings.... that 'fix' isn't much of an option for you and i don't know any other temporary fix unfortunately.

@wallcandyprinting Oops...I didn't mean to accept your reply as a solution. So far, there has been NO solution! This has been going on for MONTHS, and every once in awhile, my shop will run correctly. Just now checked, and it's back to showing mostly nothing. Unfortunately the uninstall then reinstall trick just "fixes" it on your own device.

The more I think about this, the more upset I get.  So anyone using the Etsy app to shop is only seeing 5 of my 400 listings.  Is Etsy going to refund me for the cost of all these listings and in addition any sales I missed out on?  They need to fix these problems or start the refunding!

It's absolutely wild and unacceptable that this is still happening to sellers at the start of the holiday rush!! This has been a known issue for weeks (months?) now- how is it not fixed???

Fellow Sellers,

I’m writing this post out of frustration and deep concern about Etsy’s lack of professional customer service. Over the past week, I’ve been receiving a repeated message on my account warning me that I’m "losing my star rating due to a final warning." Final warning for what? I didn’t receive an email, explanation, or any clear communication about this.

The first time this happened, I contacted Etsy’s customer service immediately. It took five days for them to respond, only for them to tell me it was a "technical issue" and that I should ignore it. The message eventually disappeared, but now, tonight, it’s back again! I’ve reached out to customer service again, but based on my last experience, I know I won’t hear back for days.

Here’s my issue:

  • Lack of Clarity: Why is there no clear explanation for these "warnings"?
  • Inconsistent Standards: If we as sellers fail to respond to customers promptly, we lose our hard-earned 5-star ratings. But Etsy can take their time—days, even weeks—to respond to us?
  • Unprofessional Treatment: This is our business. Many of us depend on Etsy as our primary source of income, yet they seem indifferent to the impact of these unresolved issues on our livelihoods.

I’m seriously starting to question what is going on at Etsy. A "technical issue" shouldn’t leave sellers in the dark, repeatedly disrupt our workflow, and cause us unnecessary stress. If Etsy wants to hold us to a standard of excellence, they must hold themselves to that same standard.

We’re all busy—we all have customers to serve—but we still manage to fulfill our responsibilities as sellers. It’s time Etsy respects the commitment we bring to their platform and shows the same dedication in return.

I’d love to hear if others have experienced similar issues. We need to stand together and demand better treatment from Etsy. This level of disregard is unacceptable, and as sellers, we deserve clear communication and timely support.

It looks to be something with the filter settings.  When I initially looked on the app, I only saw 3 of the 97 it says are on there.  It was sorting by relevance.  I switched it to most recent and all of them came up.

@SnowyOwlLaserDesigns Yes, the default on the app is Relevance. And that's what seems to be causing this issue somehow. Buyers will not know to switch the Sort to see all a shop's items.

Exactly - the 5 relevant listings that showed up for me were listings that had free shipping.  Very lightweight random items.  5 of the least likely listings I would pick to represent my shop.  Regardless we sellers are graded and reviewed endlessly.  I will give Etsy an F for straightening out this problem and the thumbnail adjustment.  Also we need a helpful help desk.   I do not feel that sellers’ needs are being met despite ever increasing fees and pressure to fatten Etsy’s wallet out of our decreasing profits.
