It keeps saying "The item price has changed." and "Choose quantity" at the cart, CANNOT CHECKOUT!!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure if you are facing the problem but today a customer told me that she tried to add the item into the cart but the cart keep saying "The item price has changed.", and the quantity box keeps asking her to put a number, however, even after she choose the quantity, nothing changes and she cannot proceed to checkout unfortunately

I checked myself on the Etsy Application, The phone browser and Computer Browser and this issue happens every time (I even tried with other computer, phone and IP address, same issue happen). I tried with other listing and some of my listing is ok but some face the same issue.

I tried to make a call to Etsy but after 30 minutes of investigation through the phone, they cannot help but give me a ticket number and ask me to wait.

It is strange that I cannot found any information about this same issue, since actually I faced this exact glitch/issue before, but at the other time in the past, when buyer choose the quantity, it was ok. But this time, there is no way to place the order!

I'm really upset and frustrated, I'm really afraid that this will badly affect the conversion rate

Hope that someone from Etsy could read and dig deeper into this serious problem!

I found 3 potential buyers contacted me, and they complained that they couldn't checkout.
I have contacted Etsy Support, and they have not found a solution to this problem.
Hopefully they can find a solution to this problem.

Hi everyone,

I figured out that we have to change the listing currency to USD instead of your currency (mine was VND because we base in Vietnam) then the issue is gone.

I think the same issue will happen to the shops that have the currency that is not in USD.

Unfortunately, if you change the currency to USD instead of your currency, you will be charged 2.5% on the total revenue for the currency exchange, I'm so upset.

I also contact Etsy support but they just cannot resolve...

I have also found the solution,
The problem is the selling price of your product, if you don't use USD currency, and my case is because there are several of my listings that have odd prices (ex: 2909).
I didn't change the currency to USD, because there will be additional fees if we exchange it to another currency.

My solution, I changed all my product prices to even (ex: 2910) and.....

it works!!

Hey! I wanted help in this regard. I had to change my currency from USD too. So if I check for what price shows in dollars and round it up, that's enough? I saw suggestions asking to change the currency. But that will be expensive for me.
