Hello everyone,
In the past, I was able to download them directly to my computer without any issues. However, now they are being sent to my email, and while I can receive them, I am unable to open the spreadsheets correctly. The data appears as a series of random numbers, making it impossible to work with. I was wondering if you have the same issue?
As we are in the middle of tax season, this has become quite urgent.
Thank you for your help and response.
If the csv's are not downloading into a spreadsheet,
then there is a setup on your computer/device, that is not accessing the data with a spreadsheet
try to "Open With ........" (eg excel, or google sheets, whatever you have installed) rather than just opening
If you are on windows open settings > apps > default apps > scroll to near bottom for 'choose defaults by file type'. Click the arrow and on the page that opens, find .csv and change it to Excel in the popup and hit default program.
Sounds like somehow your csv file type became associated with notepad so you are viewing the 'raw' data of the csv instead of formatted data like excel would create from the file. Probably starts off something like
L À F› «@Õ6ÎäÓæÎvŽÐäÓ U¡aãÓ¥û ~: Bf\3E C›S"Mâíæ& & ï¾1 +„rÎäÓ¢¼ÐàäÓ¢¼ÐàäÓ \ 1 ¦LDocuments D ᆭLÔ ¦L. V, ` Ë-ø D o c u m e n t s
Do you mean the CSVs? Try downloading again, making sure to click "download" and it will store locally. You can then open it in Excel or a comparable spreadsheet
Yes, I did and that issue is still there. That you for your replay.

I'm also having issues and unfortunately there is no option to select 'Open with' as the CVS is a link in the email and not an attachment. So frustrating!
use a browser, and download it,
it downloads to your download area, where you can open it from

Yes! I'm having this same problem.
Try opening with a different browser. I used to work with Safari, but since I downloaded Google Chrome, I’ve been having issues with Safari. There’s no problem downloading files on Google Chrome, but Safari isn’t working now.
