Hello everyone,
I’m hoping for some help with an issue I’m having, as I’m not sure what to do and ideally I’d like to avoid having to print two pages for every order.
• If an order is marked as a gift, the packing slip generated doesn’t show any buyer or private notes, even though these options are selected in the settings.
• And Order receipts don’t show the buyer’s full gift message — they include the message but not who it’s “from”, which I believe must be entered in a different section at checkout
Since I put a lot of care into handwritten gift messages, it’s really important for me to have the full and correct details for each order, so I don’t miss anything important. As sometimes customers write their message in the order notes or message me privately which I then add as a private note on the order.
I’m wondering if this is a system limitation or if I might be overlooking something?
Thank you so much for any advice or guidance!

The gift message is entered on a separate page during the order process.
The buyer may have selected gift and that is only to supply an order receipt without pricing. If it is missing some elements that may be something not checkmarked to include.
Some buyers are not interested in gift messages or wrapping but just don't want the pricing to show.
If you think the buyer meant to include a gift message, message/email them and then extend the shipping date if needed.
