This morning, I put an item I wanted to purchase in my cart. Then went to the cart to check out and left it on this screen for many hours - you know life just gets in the way! This evening, I received an email for 5% off the item I left in the cart. I clicked on that link and received an error ' Uh oh! A stitch has gone awry. Please try again later. ' After trying a few things, I gave up and ordered the item as a guest. I messaged Etsy with the issue, and they said the issue needs extra help from a support team and they will get back to me.
Just another issue.....
The ''encourage bigger orders' offer means you have to purchase both or all the items in the bundle in order to qualify for the discount. An abandoned cart coupon is not the same thing as the bundle discount. Did you receive the 5% off coupon thru your regular email or by clicking on the ''Deals'' or ''Favorites'' icon?
You'd probably get more help by contacting the seller to see what the problem might be. If they can figure it out, the seller might suggest that they cancel the guest order so you can reorder and receive the appropriate discount.
ETA - It seems other buyers are having problems with their carts, too. There are 2 OPs just started about getting the ooops awry stitch notifications.
@TheVintagePineapple You are right, I got my discount names mixed up. The email I received for 5% off is from the seller setting up a discount for 'remind buyers to checkout'. It was after I clicked on the link for the discount in the email that I received an error. And now I still cannot get to my cart. I can add items and the number of items in my cart is increasing with each item added. But, I get the 'a stitch is awry' message. At this time, I still have not heard back from Etsy.
A moderator showed up on one of the OPs where they are also having problems with carts. She might reply to your post soon, but if not, you can try @'ing her to get attention for your situation.
