Issue with Downloading All Listings: Limited to 800 Items

I reached out to Etsy support regarding this issue, but unfortunately, I kept going in circles and didn’t feel like they fully understood the problem. I’m posting here in hopes of getting help from the community or perhaps someone more senior at Etsy support can confirm whether this is an acknowledged issue, and if it’s being addressed or overlooked. Alternatively, I may be doing something wrong and need guidance.

The problem occurs when I use the Download CSV option for "Currently for Sale Listings" from the Download Shop Data section at this link.

When I download the CSV, it’s limited to 800 items. I currently have 1,431 active listings, meaning 631 listings are missing from the file. The downloaded list is sorted by expiration date, with the latest updated listings appearing first. As a result, the missing ones are the older listings.

I would like the ability to download all my active listings. If this limitation exists due to server performance (the current file size is 1.34 MB), perhaps Etsy could allow downloads in sections or incremental updates since the last download.

Is this limitation normal? If so, could Etsy consider improving the system to enable full downloads? Or is this potentially a bug that needs addressing?

Just to clarify, 1,431 also includes my pattern listings, which are also in the active listings csv.

I'm now up 832 listings on Etsy, but the CSV is still limited to 800.

did a bunch of listings expire before you did the download? cuz like @NanaLetha, I only see 798 active listings in your shop.

I really hope the active listing download works correctly because I use it regularly to find listings with less than 10 pictures and other wacky stuff that I need to fix.

Do you have more than 800 listings? I can only see 516 items on your shop

I just tried it (I have never used this before) and it seems to work for me. I did not check them all but the numbers match and there are well more than 1000 of them.

@NewfangledThings  Do you have any variations in any of your listings?  I just remember when I moved mine over to another site, listings with variations could not be added.

Yes, most of them have variations and they are working fine.  It's just being limited to 800 items

So, I've just run the CSV file again and it has now increased the number of listings downloaded to 900.  I think it might be that when I run the download it looks at the number of listings I have on Etsy (last week it was 798 and I've increased this to 827) and then rounds it up to the next 100 (so 800 last week and 900 this week).  It then downloads the top 900 most recently renewed items on there, but isn't restricting it to just the items on Etsy.  It will take the ones on Pattern only too.

This seems really weird to me but I can't think what else it would be.  Is there anyone from Etsy Support that can advise?
