is this really from etsy.

PS: The message in question did not come from Etsy, and we have already actioned the account attempting to impersonate admin.
Be suspicious about anything they send, don't give them the information they will be asking for, don't click on the links. Be aware what they send will probably look very legitimate, like it came from Etsy.
It's a scam. Etsy already has your email.
YES total scam. Do not reply and put it in your spam folder. They need to make a SCAM folder at this point! Or at least have a box to click on the message.
Definitive SCAM - it's a known one here in the forum - just do a search on the topic here for further details.
Report the sender to Etsy trust and safety team via the help section , then send the message to spam
oh I already gave them my email address.
Do not click on links in any further messages from them, send it to spam.
OK have sent to etsy spam.
Do you think they can do some think with just my email address?

@Sportslight , Beware of any suspicion emails you get. Do not click on/open them. Send directing to trash/spam.
If the only thing they did was get your email address you should be ok as there wouldn't be anything they could really do at that point other than send you an email.
Where you get into trouble is if they do send you an email and you click on any links or give them any information.
Just make sure that ANY suspicious looking emails go to spam and I think you should be ok.
Watch for an email from a fake Etsy Support account asking you to verify your bank and CC info. That is another scammer.
A new scam message to lookout for. Thanks!
@Sportslight
Most times these scammers are targeting brand new shops with 0 sales and you've been selling a while with lots of sales.
More than likely they'll send you a link to a FAKE etsy site or Etsy support/chat wanting you to login and enter your banking and CC info so they can STEAL your money.
Don't click any links. (Etsy will not send you links to click on, if something in your shop finance section needs updated, they'll be a notice on your "Dashboard" or "Finance" page on your shop manager.
Mark as spam, do not reply.
Etsy started putting a light orange color "warning" message banner on your message page last week and the first thing mentioned was Etsy would NEVER ask for your email.
If you don't see it, maybe you clicked "Ok I got it" and when you do, it won't show up.
Here's an announcement from a while back.

Since you gave them your email address, they will now email you directly asking for your credit card details in order to verify an order. Don't give them the card details and you should be okay. Just be careful. Don't click on links in any emails. Any time you get an email from Etsy you can check by going directly to your shop manager and see if there is a notification on the dashboard. The Etsy message system is not a way to contact Etsy support. There's a separate help centre for that - accessible only through your shop manager.
Absolutely a scam!!! Anyone from Etsy always identifies themselves and their title.
DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. PLEASE REPORT AS SPAM!
As others have said, this is a scam (the word "kindly" caught my eye). Contact Etsy support to let them know ASAP. They probably have a specific team that deals with these situations. The person (or bot) who messaged you probably messaged many other sellers and there may be a way Etsy's team can find and get rid of all of those messages. Let Etsy support know you gave your email and see what they say.
Hello all, I am in need of some advice and am new to the forums. I have just received the same email, having just reopened my store and was distracted and wasn't sure if this was something new that Etsy was implementing. I clicked the link in the email which took me to my messages on Etsy and tried to verify (I feel so stupid) now. Is there any way to contact Etsy directly for advice on steps to take?
Immediately mark the message as SPAM. That will be reporting it. Contact Etsy Support and inform them of what has happened. I’d change my passwords immediately as well.
Thank you for you feedback, done and done!
How they can still post messages with Etsy logo and name
Was it sent in messages “from Etsy” ? If so then it IS from Etsy otherwise it’s likely a scam.
Be careful Etsy has become a place for scammers to target sellers daily mainly it’s bc Etsy don’t have a strong enough protocol put in place to flag their messages.
This is based on my own opinion and observations:
How to spot someone who may be a scammer:
(this is not always the scenario, use your judgment, if you think it’s likely it’s a scammer, trust your gut - it’s highly likely it is!)
It would be in Etsy best interest to focus more on ways to prevent and penalize the scammers who create fake Etsy accounts literally just set up to target Etsy sellers!
