I'm increasingly finding that Etsy's integration with courier services just doesn't work. It doesn't work for Royal Mail. And whilst it largely works with Evri (Hermes) it doesn't work with Evri international. I've actually sent out an order internationally and Etsy still says it's in "pre-transit" even though the buyer has confirmed their receipt of the order. And then I sent a parcel out by Yodel. Again, Etsy says it is in "pre-transit" even though I can click on the link within Etsy and it takes me straight to the Yodel website and immediately confirms the delivery of the order.
I feel very sorry for UK sellers regarding their shipping issues especially as related to the star seller program and Reserves. Nothing fair about it working so poorly.
i have been posting about this on loads of threads, it took me over a month to realise, so i use transglobal from the uk as its the cheapest signed for carrier, it encompasses all the usual carriers, ending up with usps in the usa, etc do its normally dhl or fed ex first part of the journey then transfers over to the domestic carrier in that country, once on reserve i had to go back to royal mail as parcels constantly pre transit and those parcels are still in reserve until end of july which will be 45 days plus, the parcels are delivered the customers send via messages been delivered, etsy wont change it, unless its a recognised aftership carrier, so i used fed ex all the way no, not them either, fed ex says aftership which is the site they use for tracking is not picking them up, evri no not them either, so i have had to revert to royal mail, the thing is as etsy are in the usa, they seem not be able to pick up the tracking of that either, the only way i can get money released is through online with royal mail direct click and send, then taken to the post office not picked up as its not always scanned, so straight at the post office, then its scanned and etsy has it straight away pre transit, they release on this, then its in transit the next day, although it still does not show as delivered, etsy would have to click through, but at least is reliable only double my normal carrier, it also has to be tracked or tracked and signed, if i do use transglobal i have to wait until the parcel gets to the usa and the state its going to and then usps kicks in it shows in transit, and it actually shows as delivered, its because they are in the usa we are here aftership do not pick up our tracking. irrelevant of any intergration it needs to be picked up on aftership, even if you scan aftership half the carriers on there do no work with etsy from the UK, so for not im paying double just to keept it going, much longer than transglobal and double the price
