I am currently having a nightmare with this as well (similar but different).
It's a huge concern for me, that they are asking for / have our most sensitive financial information yet nothing works the way it should.
Meanwhile our livelihoods are being affected and nobody cares. Literally nobody.
I am also setting up on other platforms and working on my own website.
After nearly 13 years here, I have lost all trust in this site.
It has been more than a full day since I was told by etsy that my verification was a success and I'm all set to sell on etsy and yet my shop is still on forced vacation. I've contacted etsy in a number of ways already and keep being sent boilerplate emails basically telling me to be patient. It's obvious that customer support hasn't even read my messages. My shop has been down more than a week. I have over a thousand paid listings that nobody can see. What happened to this place?
You do everything right - star seller - going above and beyond for customers and it means absolutely nothing.
In my case it's been great motivation to start setting up my own website.
I already have my own web site. I sell in several venues. None of them have the non-existent customer service I'm getting currently for etsy.
But, of course, I vehemently agree.
It's time to branch out as much as possible. Etsy is not taking care of their business.
Yes, we have a having a similar issue
We have entered our Singapore Tax ID, UEN multiple times and we keep getting a system error saying it is not recognized. We have checked our number with our Singapore tax accountant (as recommended by Etsy support email and chat) and we know our number is valid and correct.
Support is sending us in circles and now our account is paused/forced vacation mode. We can't sell or access our funds.
We've sent our registration documents, chatted to two reps and done multiple emails. It does not seem that any one really reads them or can or is willing to manually update or clear our account. We are giving them what they need, but they keep asking us to wait and be patient.
If we can withdraw our funds, where do they go?
Hi BeebeeAndBongo,
We are also a Seller from SG, and currently facing the exact issue as what you have faced. How did you manage to get it resolved in the end?
For SG sellers who are unable to update with the UEN number, we tried with the business-owner's personal tax payer ID and it went through. seems like this is he only solution for now.
It's absolute madness. It's like etsy's a ghost ship just drifting the high seas with no sentient being on board. Best of luck to you.
@Rubberhedgehog And they have access to our most sensitive financial data.
If they can't man this ship soon, I am bailing!
I've been having problems since last month I got a firsts sale and it arrived "my account is in automatic vacation mode, I was asked to re-upload my Document ID. I did it a week ago but it still says pending verification (even though it says verification 2 -5 days, more than a week, I have not received a response, and here I am also asked to verify my bank account. If I want to verify my bank account, I find a gray button that cannot be clicked. Is there a solution or have you experienced how to solve it? If I don't get 6 hearts my account will be suspended
please someone help me
Thank you
I too received the email to confirm and update or change any seller info... just follow the Yellow Banner. However, I have NO Yellow Banner (and already went thru this last year). Just in case I clicked thru to verify my info is correct... and it is... and still shows Verified. Looks like I'm good (crossing all my fingers and any borrowed digits that I can snag that I'm OK).
BUT... this IS etsy... hence all the crossed fingers!
I do see this is a zombie thread from last year... BUT... just got the email to verify my info from etsy yesterday!
There's a simple fix for this if you are doing it on the PC. The issue is within the html code of Etsy submit page. 1) Right click on the submit button. 2) Click inspect element on the drop down menu after right click. You should see some html code that appears on the bottom or right side of you browser. 3) Find this code <button type="button" disabled="" class="wt-btn" 4) Delete disabled="" 5) Click submit as the button should no longer be greyed out.
I almost forgot to mention before step 4) right click edit as html in order to delete disabled="" . If anyone here is still confused please don't hesitate to message me. I will gladly help you.
