Just wanted to raise awareness about a frustrating issue I’m currently dealing with:
My shop has processing times clearly set to 8–10 days. However, Etsy is displaying 1–3 day processing times on all customer order confirmations, completely ignoring the settings I’ve provided.
I raised a support ticket, and Etsy has confirmed this is a known bug. There’s no timeframe for a fix, and in the meantime, sellers are being left to deal with the fallout.
I now have three affected orders, and I’m being told to update my processing profiles (which I’ve done multiple times with no effect). It’s extremely disheartening to be asked to maintain accurate settings, only for Etsy to override them and mislead customers with unrealistic expectations.
Worse still, Etsy has not taken any ownership of the issue. There’s been no support with contacting affected buyers or preventing the potential damage to my shop’s reputation through late delivery penalties or bad reviews.
I know I’m not the only one facing this, and I’ve seen several similar posts, but I wanted to add my voice. This is basic marketplace functionality, and it simply needs to work.
It's frustrating and I wish they would get it fixed. It doesn't matter what I change my processing time to, they keep it the same. My actual processing time is 3-5 business days. They show all orders due in 2-4 business days. I can change it to 5-10 business days and it will still stay at 4 business days.
I've even had items purchased within minutes of each other with the same processing time show different due dates.
Please help if you know a fix for this. I'm about to go out of town in a few days. I set all my listings to 2 week processing. I just got an order that is still showing to ship with my old processing times. I really don't want to put my shop in vacation mode because of this. Any time I use vacation mode, it takes weeks or months for me to get back to normal. I would really hate to have to message all my buyers to tell them it will be delayed, which could just result in canceled orders. This needs to be fixed ASAP!
