Most of my Active listings have incorrect expiration dates. Feb. 27, 2023 - Nov 30, 2022 - April 6, 2023.
Are the expiration dates incorrect or did they just not expire or renew (if on auto-renew). If they just aren't expiring then that has been an ongoing issue for many months maybe over a year? Do you have them on auto-renew or manual renew?
Here are some other threads about it

there are a bunch more as well as one that I can't seem to find right now where the seller was charged for renewals on the ones that failed to renew all at once. Ill see if I can find it
There has been an issue reported with items listed on the last days on months or Feb as the short month messes it up somehow. They reported them never renewing but staying active for months for "free". Until a few days/ a week ago someone reported all their Over due to renew listings suddenly all renewed at once and they were not happy because they had a large number of items renew charges wipe out their payment account and they were now all going to expire and renew on the same day when their time ran out again. Not sure if that is what you are seeing? Or do you mean they are active and just suddenly showing expired expiration dates? I would assume that is a glitch.
This is an ongoing issue that has been reported to tech support numerous times. I have listings that show expiration dates from 2022 (and not just the short month of February). It has continued on where there are listings with a supposed expiration of March 2023, and they still show as ACTIVE! This is a problem - before, when I was low on an item (and I also sell in a storefront) I would just let it expire and it would drop off the list. Lately I am being surprised by an item being ordered, that has been "expired" for more than a year, and is still showing active. My actual Expiration count has not moved off 113 items for over a year. It is, and continues to be a major "glitch" and I'm chasing down listings trying to verify what I actually have in inventory, and what is long gone.
This is still a MAJOR problem and impacting trying to accurately manage inventory.
Is anyone going to fix this??
So I started reporting mine Dec 2022! Many chats, emails and still not solved. Now they charged me for over 500 listings at once then the expiry on every one is the same! There's something rotten in Denmark with the multitude of issues and no real assistance. It's amazing!
I'm seeing a similar issue, and my shop is US based. The "Expires" date is in the past, and the listing is still active. I'm not sure what's going on. It would be great to get an update from someone at Etsy.
Good evening,
So the expiration date glitch is now even worse - all my expired listings changed to the same expiration date, and I have over 500 items that are expired - they should've been going in groups of about 20-30. I have manual renewal, so thankfully they didn't all auto-renewal. That might explain why my shop sales plummeted about two weeks ago - I didn't realize a large part of my shop was not active.
@FeatheredNest97030 I've dealt with this since Dec2/22 and reported over and over to be assured being looked at many many times until June 16 they charged me for almost 600 and all expire Oct 16. That costs the seller to renew and can't be all at once. I've warned on forums only to be told to be quiet they are free! This is still happening that every day my listings are not renewing so I have to do manual. I'm not getting reply lately and send screenshots everyday showing them. It's disgusting as I've been since Dec telling them. MICKEY MOUSE
I’m on auto-renew, and my listing should have expired in early September, yet is saying it expires in Jan 2024. I’m scared I’ll get charged for it, what should I do?
Could you please see if you can get someone to look into this. Items not expiring when they should, but still active has been going on for over a year now and it is causing all sorts of problems like huge bills when items do finally renew, items all having the same expiration date (which keeps perpetuating the huge renewal fees), inventory issues, etc.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll see what we can do.
I had over 1,800 listings affected by this. Was told they were essentially "free listings" and then got multi hundred dollar "credits" in my store balance for the inconvenience....
I don't think Etsy is in the business of giving money away for "free listings"
Just this last week, about 500 that had "expires in day, month, 2022" finally expired
I would be very cautious about all of this.
Just a note, when you do renew items, the "automatic renewal" button will be selected by default. Be sure to keep this/change as needed.
Due to all of this, every 7 days, I select all of my store's items, and make sure the "manual renew" is applied to them.
My expiration dates, sorting them 'SOONEST FIRST' shows the expiration dates of February 28 of 2021. After 17 listings it jumps to February 28, 2022 on eight of them. Then the date goes to September 30th, 2022 on four of them, then it goes to November 30th, 2022 on one of them. Then the listings show dates of expiring on various days of February, April, June, July, August, then finally to September of 2023. Just wondered when does this begin to be correct? Is there anyone out there at Etsy trying to fix the sorting errors? Please? Thank you.
This was reported Dec 2/22 by myself and been told to be quiet by forum users and they wished they had free listings. After MANY hours of emails, screenshots and chats I was charged for almost 600 listings June 16 and I'm still renewing some so they don't renew all at once. Don't give up but after 8 months I'm sorted out with Etsy. If they listened in Dec 2022 this would have been corrected long ago as many don't realize it's occurring. I warned others here but no one listened. I have hours into screenshot sharing and explaining over and over and over and over.
One other thing, the listing with dates in the past don't add into a store wide sale!
